Notice the red banner and the older style BBFC logo. The cut re-release does not have these.
Evening Captain

This is I guess the re-issue of the re-issue. Not artwork cover is different. I picked this up at ASDA under £8.00? I did notice the version you posted before in the stores, I just didn't bother buying it till a few years ago.

The logo on the BBFC it does differ not the same match. Also the Sony play station symbol isn’t on the artwork cover that I have. Not a good picture lousy camera. LOL

No, that's just the re-issue. The later re-issue (as mentioned in an earlier post - not by me) that makes up part of a boxset is totally uncut also.

Hi Captain

I need to see the artwork design for that version because I haven’t the first clue mate on that un-cut version.

Here’s the dts laserdisc standard version NTSC US import that I still have. Gatefold is still in good condition. Yeah they don’t make them like they used to with easy to read text. Today you have to squint at the text!

I’m still shaking my head at how the blazes did they do those effects! I saw a brief making not sure if it was on Tomorrow’s World BBC1 many moons ago. The visual effects studio Digital Domain, I think I have Cinefex magazine on the art of the visual effects for this film in the kitchen. I used to collect Cinefex but gave a few years ago. Its all CGI now and it kinder dazzled me in its early days but now, not too keen anymore.

I wonder what the artwork design for the bluray UK version would look like?

Hopefully cameron can record a commentary when this comes out on blu, this must be the only cameron film (not couting Pirana 2) that has never really had a decent release on the home format.

+1

Now that might go down well with the fans with cast and crew commentary as well.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it and yes it was visually stunning. Overall an 7.5/10. I guess I'm disappointed compared to the hype and the story was a bit poor.

Morning mk.ten

You're damaged goods lady and over the bridge she went!

That scene with pelican resting on the nose of the terrorists van, lol then flies off as the van tilts over and kaboom!

The scene where his friend keeps hounding, him about his wife having an affair with used car salesman LOL priceless! Grips the binoculars and the glass cracks!

My favourite of the Cameron movies and I would snap this up in a heartbeat, action and comedy done in just the right balance. They don't make them like this any more and Arnie and Tom make a great double act. Too bad we will never get a squeal to this.

Or find it years later in Gamestation or CeX. I got mine for £1.50.

Saw True Lies HD on TCMHD and it looked brill if a little 90's dated kind of atmosphere. It will be an instanta-buy.

Almost looks like the kind of thing you'd expect to find on a cheap knock off at the local market!

Can't say I’ve ever bought a VHS/DVD/Blu-ray on the strength of the cover. This has to be my number one want, definitely day one purchase for me whenever we eventually see a release.
