Problem with Dolby Digital Atmos track on Hunger Games: Mockingjay blu-ray

Not sure if this one should go in the DVD/blu-ray or hardware groups.. it appears that a few people are having problems playing back the DD Atmos track on the new Hunger Games blu-ray. After a bit of digging, I've found what appears to be the cause - a conflict between the Atmos track and the multiple seamless branching used on Lionsgate discs as a copy protection measure.

More info here

For the time being, a workaround appears to be to switch the player to output LPCM rather than bitstream (or select a non-Dolby HD track, not really feasible when the only DD track is 2.0). Apparently newer players don't suffer with the problem, but speaking as the owner of a Sony BDP-S570 which is just over 4 years old and still going strong, it would be very annoying to have to upgrade just to cater for one disc with iffy authoring.

I've e-mailed Lionsgate to flag up the problem (UkReception@lionsgatefilms.co.uk) and I'd urge anyone else with droppy-out audio on this title to do likewise.
