That should be the final nail in the coffin.

Is he not going to go anyway? Seems just like a convenient excuse?

I figured he was on his way anyway, and this is a convenient excuse. You can't really have players calling the shots can you?

I know LVG hasn't done a great job, but what would have happened in the Fergie days if they'd said it was him or me?

It's not Fergie's day anymore though, is it? Things have changed, the balance of power has shifted.

LVG has hardly got the same record behind him either.

I assumed last year that the DDG deal was a 'Ronaldo' style deal and I fully expect him to be in Spain next season, no matter who is in charge.

Barca need a new keeper, don't they?
Let's get them involved for a good, old fashioned bidding war!

Yeah sell him to the highest bidder and give all the money to a worthy registered charity.

I'd guess they'd play the kids.

Looks like he's gone full strength...

Anyone gets injured and he's cocked up big time.

Yes, big gamble - in a game which is probably the most pointless match in PL history. Im pleased to be out and so have no reason to watch.

Maybe they've been warned to play a decent team, can't see it myself. Or maybe he just wants a bit of momentum into the final, you don't really want to be coming off a loss.

Can't believe the strength of the team out there - especially with Smalling's injury record, and Martial having had such a recent injury scare. Jones and Memphis could've come in for them at the very least, as neither will be involved on Saturday.

Such a pointless risk to take in the circumstances - particularly when you consider the side Swansea put out there on Sunday

I think it's our of respect for the fans that we're there for Sunday's debacle.

Well this is a surprise, who'd have thought this would be such a dull, dull game?

Maybe, though I'd argue putting-out the U21s (managed by Warren Joyce) would've at least given the fans a more entertaining game. Certainly they'd have more chance of winning 19-0
