Now Van Hell, you have the chance to get us to fourth place. Just try to play a good team & a good formation. Attack, Attack, Attack. THEN GO!!!!

I'd expect a routine win at home to Bournemouth so it's all about West Ham on Tuesday.
We didn't play that bad today but we've certainly left the door open for you.

It may be in in our hands now to finish fourth, but it's also in our hands to finish eighth....

City are just toying with us - they know we'll struggle to win the last two league games so they throw 2 points away today to try to get our hopes up before we ruin it for ourselves.

They are so evil

I can see us beating the Hammers, only to draw with Bournemouth on the final day...

Why hasn't John Terry sorted his next contract out? He's going where Mourinho goes isn't he?

God help us

So here we are start of 3 massive games for us , if anyone would have told me in January that we would be in with a chance of CL quail and winning a trophy I would have thought they were barking but ........ Personally I don't think we'll get the result tonight hey ho

I think we will get 3 points tonight and drop points against Bournemouth.

If radio & internet are to be believed, Van Hell has said (yet again) he is staying. There is no doubt that our club is the worst one in any division for leadership & action. This clown would not be in any top team for the last two seasons or anywhere near that time. I am disgusted.

Yes and no - what we are avoiding is the effect the Pep arriving and Pellegrini leaving has had on city. Remember when Fergie announced retirement the first time, our season went to pot.

If LVG is leaving (which I am sure he is), they are doing the right thing in making sure he's got some power in the dressing room.

I seem to have a similar feeling today as I did in the build-up to our last Champions League final with Barcelona - the anticipation for the match, excitement for what is possible, and the deep sense of dread that United are going to make a mess of everything

Along with away trips to the traditional big sides, or going to Goodison, Upton Park is one of the last places I'd want us to play in a must win game, but here we are. With all the emotion of the game, Fellaini being suspended (this is the type of game he is very useful in) and Martial maybe being injured, the deck is stacked against us. If we somehow win this one, then I might start believing that we have a chance, but even then I'd think like MaxNutter that we'll still throw it away against Bournemouth

I've never been quite convinced what the club is going to do in the summer with the manager - things seem to alternate between it being obvious that Jose is taking-over, to it being obvious that the club are desperate not to make any change at all. There's been a lot of smoke around the Jose link, but I have very little faith in the board to make a decision - I wouldn't like to call it either-way at this point.

Ideally I wouldn't want Jose for all the negatives that come with him, but the situation we are in, and with our luckless timing of making managerial appointments, then I'm in favour of giving him the job - there aren't any decent alternatives and I feel we need to move on from LVG.

Incredibly well run club from the outside at least - not allowing Pep to mess them about before Xmas about the City job and instead announcing the appointment of Ancelotti as his successor was almost ruthlessly efficient. And now announcing two big signings so soon after winning the league as well

Less of a surprise that one, Dortmund are their feeder club.

Who in their right mind would come to a rudderless club, with an abysmal manager who might or might not be here next season. This alone is a perfect example of why everyone should know who the new manager is, or if van hell is staying.

City is a perfect example of why you shouldn't make announcements until after the season ends.
