Yep absolutely terrible given the time it was scored.

I just watched the highlights. The first one was NOT a penalty, there was slight contact but he went on to dive having lost the ball. The player that had the ball hit his leg then arm, to me is a a foul in the penalty area. Had the player been in front of goal & a ball hit the leg & was going into the the net but is stopped from going into the goal by hitting the arm, that would be a foul in the penalty area. So foot to arm is still a foul in the penalty area. The United goal when Schweinsteiger went into the goalkeeper was a foul by the West Ham player who altered Schweinsteigers movement by grabbing his arm.

Has to be deliberate handball not just handball . Tough to see it being deliberate when it cannoned off his leg up to his arm. It was accidental imo.

If you had watched the highlights you would have seen Schweinsteiger looking at where the goalkeeper was and then decided to foul him and therefore NOT a goal,Pretty easy decision to make.

Are you saying the West Ham player didn't touch his arm????

Fair enough. Be interesting to see what happens in the future when it's going into the goal.

There is a difference between 'grabbing' and 'touching' his arm,'Grabbing' would have meant a possible penalty but not by 'touching' it.

Schweinsteiger did not indicate he was grabbed or touched to the referee instead he looked at the goalkeeper to see where he was then he watched the flight of the ball's direction and fouled the goalkeeper so the goalkeeper could not reach it and therefore a foul on the West Ham keeper.

Schweinsteiger looked at the bloke as he was swung around still moving backwards. I looked at this over & over & neither I nor you can change what happened. If you can make something up, different to that, then you should start writing fairy tales, you do seem to be quite good at it.

Ah well, it'll be nice to see the cup go somewhere else this year, even if I doubt it will be OT...

It will be quite some time before that happens and any cups for that matter.

Plus you need a new team too.

So what do we think about Thursday night?

In previous years, with a full Old Trafford and a couple of battlers in the squad I'd have fancied us at least taking them to extra time. We seem to have gone backwards since we started bringing back the 'first team' players.

If we go out, so be it, but I really hope we at least put up a fight. Anything less and LVG may as well pack his bags.

I expect at best a narrow win, going out on aggregate / away goals. I hope I'm wrong.

Please read things properly.

Are United playing West Ham on Thursday?
Do away goals count in the FA Cup?

Could be a classic game, I think United have the ability to score 2 and Liverpool have the ability to concede 2. Should be worth watching.

Liverpool should win this by being 2-0 up,If they do not then they can only blames themselves as it is in their hands and not Man Utd.
