Do many say they do want any job when it isn't available?

Seems to be an unspoken rule that you'd never say you'd do a job, when there is already someone in that job. There wasn't much of a timeframe to throw your hat in the ring last time.

I'd guess Woodward (if he's on a bonus) is judged on the profitability of the whole thing, rather than how a few fans rate the beauty of the football. I've never really been given the impression that the current owners have any love for the club, beyond it bankrolling their US team.

I'd guess as far as they're concerned Woodward is doing a good job, I'm sure they'd agree about getting Pogba off the wage bill if he can't be bothered playing though.

I'm sure as long as they keep getting richer each year and every match continues to sell out, they'd have no real complaints.

Maybe you should all turn up at the match and refuse to buy a pie and a pint, that'd probably send more of a signal to how you felt.

I'm guessing they're reluctant to pay off a manager, �12m to pay him off.

I'd agree, the Glaziers will be happy as long as the goose is still laying the golden eggs, and they probably love the highly rated app as much as Woodward does.

Still, since Fergie left he's appointed (almost) three failed managers and set himself transfer targets of galactico proportions and failed to deliver them on almost every occasion.

It's one thing ignoring a manager's requests and bringing in a load of superstars (like they do at Real Madrid), but to fail to bring in any is ridiculous!

But the golden goose needs feeding, & it hasn't been fed for a while, it can only go on laying for a short while, then it will die & they will have to get a new goose & start afresh.
The danger signs were a couple of years ago but they ignored it.
We are like a giant tanker at sea, trying to turn, the captain & his first mate are having a party & so long as the booze & food flows they are OK, but a hurricane is on the horizon, everyone sees it apart from the captain & first mate, we are all trying to warn them, will they sober up before it is irreversible?

Sponsors want success, & we haven't had the kind of success they desire for a while.

Tbf to Mourinho he's won two trophies in two seasons and qualified for CL both times. His record shows he deserves more time. There's too much talent in the squad, results will improve imo.

I agree, but the sponsors are rolling in and the owners seem happy with that.

I know it's a very different era, but we went 26 years with little success and were still arguably the best known and supported English club in the world.

5 FA Cups in 26 years? Lots of clubs would love that, but compared to the following 26 years it could be classed as 'little'.

He probably does deserve it, but he doesn't seem to want it. He's doing the "last days of Jose" routine which he has done at pretty much every other club. He'll be telling them to pay him off within the week
