Ouch! I wonder who he's having a dig at there? #notreally

I read on some site earlier that Arsenal now want Miky AND £10M for Sanchez

Why does no-one ever want to put Lukaku in? Time after time he's the best option and time after time our front players have taken it on themselves.

I didn't watch the game, but one quote from today on RC that sums up the games I have watched.

"The immaturity in decision making of our players upfront are showing towards the end of these tight and nervy games. They are missing all the simple plays to kill the game off. Pogba, Martial, rashford, lukaku, and Lingard all have been guilty of that."

We have to get Sanchez, I heard he has had a medical today. He will be the first real decent player we have bought since De Gea. We need to build on that next summer to think about a fighting chance for both Premier & Champions League.

De Gea wasn't a "real decent player" when we bought him.

Good for you. I always liked him, but for me he wasn't world class when we signed him, not the finished article like Sanchez.

Anyway, what about RVP?

Great player, but I am talking about the present squad.

Well having watched the limited MOTD, the quote I highlighted just about sums it up. I have said much the same over & over, when we are near goal we do not play as a team, each player tries for a goal when there are better options. No harm in sometimes trying for a 'lone' goal, but get the team up & running first. This was discussed on MOTD last night. I don't know what is said in training but it must be instilled in the players that it is a team game. If we can instill this thinking into the players, get Sanchez, & build on that, then for the first time in years, we can mount a genuine title challenge.

On another note, I have to say the wages offered Sanchez are obscene, but because of chelsea & city & their dirty money, plus a corrupt fifa & a useless FA, it has come to this. All the money coming into the game, & instead of a reasonable amount going to the fans in better facilities & cheaper seats, all it has done is go onto greedy players wages.
Sky & BT forever paying more money into the game, the home viewer being forced to cancel Sky & or BT because of the price hikes.

You can't blame City for the fact that that we are offering to pay Sanchez double what we pay Pogba.

I'd say Sky and BT are as much to blame as anyone with their bidding war leading to an obscene amount of money floating around.

Why is it City's fault that you will be paying Sanchez £500k a week ( and a transfer fee of £35M ) when they were only willing to pay him £300k a week ( and a transfer fee of £20M ) ?

The transfer fee part is being reported differently from different sources. I've heard that it's a straight swap with no cash exchange.

This is true but they all seem consistent on the wages part ( which to me is the really obscene part )

I see the Mirror is claiming that MICON's favourite player is already demanding his wages get doubled.

Of course it is, but then so is anything over £500 a week to most working people.

I saw the Pogba story. That is why City pulled out of a deal, not because they couldn't afford it,obviously then can, unless you talk to Wenger!

Well that's the issue, you've now just made the standard wage demand £500k.
