I've never been in the woodwork, so I couldn't crawl out of it.

You see, that's what irks me.

Where's the praise when we win with a good performance, for Pogba when he's excellent and a deserved man of the match?

Where's the praise for Lingard, who has more goals than De Bruyne (one of the best players in the league), from less starts?

I can understand criticism when we're bobbins, but there has to be plaudits when we're good too.

Ironically Micon crawls back into the woodwork when we win.

I'm not suggesting for one moment that all is now well, but you've got to take the smooth with the rough.

What more can I say. I agree with Paul Scholes, & I think he knows more about football than you & your sarcasm, & the other head in the sand brigade, which, thankfully are the minority.

In a rare turn of events, yes.

Not a great first half, better in the second. Pogba was very good, much better in a more advanced position and we looked better without Lukaku, Lingard should get an extended run.

Much better than December's showings, don't you agree?

Basically this. Pogba further forward seemed to fix the problem we've been suffering from these last few weeks which is someone to keep the ball pressed further up the pitch. Lingard and Martial a better front line-up than the alternatives at the moment too.

Not so nice to see Jose commenting on Paul Scholes this morning though. Scholes shares the frustration of many of us from what we've seen in December, Jose should just shut it out and get on with his job.

Good second half, Pogba was mightily impressive (...if he was that good 80% of the time I wouldn't have a problem with him...but he isn't) and both goals were superb! But...United were pretty hopeless first half against an Everton side that were quite frankly rubbish. City or Chelsea would have trounced them quite easily on their showing last night. I honestly want United to turn that corner and start improving...and last night we did second half. Great goal from Martial but I would never start him in front of Rashford...hard to argue giving Lingard an extended run though, he is in great form

...so, Pogba was great, Martial finished superbly and Lingard scored a cracker...apart from that there was nothing to get too excited about, the rest of the team were 'as usual'... ...but, credit where it's due, a glimmer of hope after a dreadful Xmas showing and we're back into second place.

But that’s just Jose being Jose isn’t it....he says something about Scholes and the focus is on him and Scholes and not how the team isn’t playing to it’s full potential...had years of that when he was at Chelsea!

Maybe wait until you play a team who will actually put up a fight against you rather than one which, if I heard /read correctly yesterday, you have already beaten 35 times in the Premier League

Having said that Pogba was a lot better ( used a lot better ) yesterday than the previous 3/4 games.

I want to agree, but this is a team that humble Bournemouth beat just a few days earlier, & just as I said earlier in the season, that we were not as good as results showed, this is the same. People were raving about the team then & I was getting stick, but it is I who was proven to be right. I want to see if we can play higher against a team that won't stop us, I want to see Pogba play well in every game, I want him to calm down at the slightest problem. Lingard, Rashford, Martial are all the same. Some good games, some bad. None are to be elated as some have said, with their present play. Possibly they will get better, but they need to be consistantly better than they are. We definitely need a much better midfield, a couple of better defenders & at least one world class striker. I also hope that De Gea will stay with us as I'm sure he wants to win the premiership etc, & at the moment we are a million miles away from that.

Earlier in the season Real Madrid lost to Spurs, who lost to Utd, who lost to Huddersfield. Ergo, Huddersfield are better than Real...

Doesn’t matter who Everton beat a few days earlier, facing a new manager at a difficult away ground over Xmas, and given our form is a very good result.

Don't be ridiculous. Nobody is saying all is well, just that it was a good performance on Monday and a good game from the biggest waste of money in the history of football.

Daily Mail reporting JM could resign at the end of the season and the club are saddened by this news. In all honesty his current demeanour, seems to have all the hallmarks of previous fallings out.

Has he ever resigned from anywhere?
