He's this generation's Carlton Palmer. And that's a compliment.

To who? Thats the problem though Carlton Palmer wouldn't have got near a Utd midfield. Granted, we have had some duffers over the years: Djemba x2, Kleberson, Miller etc. But all quickly got rid of (exception Anderson). Fellaini isint even a good attacking threat in the air - which is mad given his size. He's a clown.

Fellaini is like a lot of our present players, some good games & some bad games, but not good enough for the first team, or any United team. I would get rid of him because he is always liable to get sent off, but doesn't add enough to chance it.

It's a compliment to the bog brush.
I can't imagine Fergie sticking with him this long, although I can't imagine Fergie buying him either. To be fair to Jose, the squad is threadbare, so I can forgive him for picking Fellaini last night, just not prior to that.
Hopefully he won't be able to play again this season, and will be shipped out over the summer. It's a pity Sunderland are going to get relegated, he'd be a shoe-in for a Moyes Sunderland side.

I think he's a lot worse. I honestly can't see what he brings to the table; he's not great in the air, he's not great at tacking, passing or shooting. What is he good at (aside from getting booked)?
What other players do you rate as poorly?

Many would argue that he is very good at not getting booked when he should be getting at least yellow cards - he is not nicknamed "elbows" for nothing

true, but not sure that's a good enough reason to play him.

He's very good at chesting the ball. Unfortunately, the ball falls to his feet, and that's when things go wrong.
In all seriousness I wouldn't mind him as a squad option, if he improved some of his basics and awful discipline. He's showed he can't, yesterday he cost us any chance of winning the match, and this is not the first time. He just doesn't learn.

In all seriousness, I blame the board.
When interviewing Moyes, they should have asked him his transfer targets. As soon as he mentioned Fellaini's name, they should have ushered Moyes out of the door.
If Moyes was smart enough not to bring him up in the interview, then the second he went to the board to sanction a transfer, they should have had a quiet word, told Moyes he didn't understand Manchester United, and kicked him out on his arse.

He almost cost you a point; even if he had stayed on you didn't look anywhere close to winning last night IMHO.

I know it wasn't likely, but I did fancy us to grab a goal on the counter.

I doubt Moyes was even interviewed
The problem with selling Fellaini is that the only league in which a club would pay even part-way respectable money for him is the Premier League, which means we'd be forever facing him in a Pulis or Allerdyce side where he would be their equivilent to Messi, but I guess in that case the maximum he could cost us then is 6 points a season

Just over 3 years ago we sacked the utter imbecile Moyes, now he's taken Sunderland down - and this actually makes me happy. The man has not shown a molecule of humility since screwing up Utd. I would love his job, rewarded millions for complete and utter failure. I hope to never see him in the PL again. I feel sorry for Sunderland being led by such an inspirational fool.

20 minutes into the game & we have been unbelievably poor. Can't pass, give the ball away.

Why is it almost every time we break forward, we then stop or pass back letting the oposition players get back behind the ball?

LOL - when you are playing **** there is only one team in this country who can rely on cheating & corrupt officials to gift them points.
An absolute joke of a decision

Strange, I don't remember you posting when we had several stone wall penalties turned down earlier in the season.

I don't remember you posting when you had numerous goals allowed this season despite being offside and numerous goals for the opposition ruled out for numerous non-existent offside.
These things even themselves out apparently - even though they don't - but there is always just one team who year after year are on the + side of the balance
