Ultimately a poor disappointing game...4 mins to go and Pogba looks dead on his feet, **** knows why?

...well done the ref though for ruining a possibly decent contest

Refereeing is pathetic and inconsistent. Not worth moaning about it, is like that every week for every team.

I actually thought we did ok. We're not good enough yet, that is clear, but we were playing the best team in England by far and with 11 versus 11 we'd have taken then to the wire with half of strike force sick and disabled. They're going easy on Rashford on the telly here but he did the hardest but and should have scored.

In the last three years, I've seen a lot worse than that.

Agreed. A lot of teams would have gone on to lose by 3-4 goals when going down to 10 men so early against this Chelsea team.

Pogba, again, though was awful. I can't believe we're almost done with the season and we still don't know what he actually does, or is supposed to do

Couldn't find his way out of Rojo's pocket

I thought he was good up to the point of the red card and after that, when things necessarily had to change, he looked totally lost. People must be seeing something in him, because he's so revered the world over, but it's difficult to blame Fergie for moving him on all those years ago because, even with years of additional experience, he still looks a long way short of cutting it in England.

edit to add to platty's statement: I'm not a fan of Rojo but I thought he was excellent again tonight. Valencia and Ashley Young also had great games.

Won't be a problem when we play them at OT in the league; Rojo will probably still be suspended for that nasty stamp on Hazard.

True. If you're going to get in trouble, make sure you deserve it. Same applies to Herrera.

Club is charged for failing to control our players, and Mourinho is quoted as saying Pogba was the best player on the park.

Funny old world.

No mention of Chelsea having to control their diving players. Must be the free villa in the Caribbean...

No mention of a retrospective ban for Rojo's deliberate stamp on Hazard ?

I am aware of that - it was a sort of rhetorical question

Oliver saw the incident and dealt with it as he saw fit by ... not even booking the player, for the same offence that got another player banned for 5 matches just last week

Guessing they didn't think it as serious, you know, not stamping on his head and all.

The inconsistent is ridiculous though. The FA seem to make decisions based on what's in the papers and there is no rhyme or reason as to who gets charged or not.

You can't help think that if it was on Sky , it would have been shown every 5 mins , dermot bloody Gallagher would have had his say too , and the FA would probably have banned him , trial by tv and all that

Isn't that the rules though? If the ref didn't see it they can do something. If he sees it and thinks its ok or just tells him off, that is all the punishment they get.

Which brings us back to consistency again. How does a referee, 5 days after seeing his bosses ban a player for 5 matches for stamping on an opponent, decide that when he sees a plyaer deliberately stamp on an opponent it is not even worth a single yellow card.

Referees and the FA ... corrupt to the very core.
