We could have played 'til midnight and not scored, absolutely woeful.

I'm now convinced that Sherwoods rotation policy is nothing more than an early shop window exercise for the close season.

Aside from Lloris and Adebayor, none of the players on show today is good enough for a team that harbours any illusions of a top four finish.

Eriksen is simply embarrassing how he loses or shys away from just about every challenge.

Towsend was always a bit of a one trick pony, but currently just looks pony.

Kaboul either needs more training or needs to be moved on at seasons end, no longer looks first team material.

So Sherwood next season or is it a new manager and re-building all over again

I don't think many would feel that Sherwood will be here next season (whether anyone thinks he deserves it or not) though the way he was early in todays game (quite rightly) he may not last that long anyway, might be in need of a hospital visit.

Spurs problems started when the early season solid defence, turned to statues and following this, our goals dried up a bit, when teams started working out just how simplistic our tactic of hitting it long to the big man up top was/is.

Yes, we've had a few injuries (though hasn't everybody) but simple stuff like corners and crosses, very rarely seem to find either the right areas or actually find their man.

We've been dire from corners all season and yet we don't seem to be seeing any improvement week by week, which isn't the sign of a team that's working on the right things, or using the right players for set pieces.

I forgot we were even playing last night until I heard the result on the radio. I haven't been this disinterested in the team for a long, long time.

How do you get to be a professional footballer, when you're so utterly gutless anywhere near a challenge ? (Eriksen)

Cant believe how little we are getting Dembele on the ball.

Seems as usual, we need someone else up a lot closer to Soldado.

Lennon not contributing much today either.

He might be slow and a bit predictable, but I would prefer the enthusiasm of Kane, over the anonymous nature of a few out there today.

Bring on Paulinho for Dembele (unless we decide to push Dembele another 20 yards higher up, so he runs at their defence)

I'm quite impressed that week on week Spurs are consistently getting worse at defending

So Van Gaal next on the Spurs managerial hot seat

Good comeback though aided and abetted by shocking Saints defending

Impressed by Chadli today and a bit more enthusiasm shown by Soldado than most of his previous outings.

Great second half performance, cracking strike from Sigurdson. Really hope Tim drills the team in their defensive shape for the trip to Anfield next week.

Decided to watch the second half and was pleasantly surprised with the performance although part of that was due to Southampton being quite woeful.

I'll be happy with anything other than another embarrassment next week, doesn't say a lot about the team but realistically it is what is on the cards if Liverpool keep their recent form up.

Decent enough run in after next week though, would like to see some green shoots in these games ahead of next season.

Gullit saying that Levy has met with Van Gaal and looks very likely. I think we will just have to get used to a new coach every few seasons, the Ferguson/Wenger type dynasties are a thing of the past and don't seem compatible with modern football.

Well obviously it has been the reality for quite some time but the intention has always been to keep a head coach/manager on a 4/5 year basis with the hope of many years of relative success.

That just doesn't happen anymore in the British or European leagues. Aside from Wenger, Pardew is the longest serving manager in the premier league.

Are we looking at another tonking today ? or has our team solidified slightly ?

If ever there was a time for Soldado to start firing them in ..........

Tad surprised Sandro isn't starting, but at least he's available when needed.

Sherwood is so far out of his depth he makes Villas Boas seem almost competent

Eriksen yet again costing us dear when he wont go anywhere near making a tackle.

Would've subbed Dawson straight back off after that calamity. He's been poor for two or three seasons and it's time to move him on.Same for Vertonghen if hes not up for the fight.

Cant help thinking that our shambles of organisation and various drubbings have occurred after the likes of Holtby went out on loan (coupled with injuries to Sandro) as we don't have the type of player to break up opposition play high up the field.

Suffice to say, the end of the season cant come soon enough.

Looking at the display so far today, aside from Chadli, Bentaleb and Lloris, you could safely junk the rest.

You'd have more central defensive capability from 2 statues than from Dawson and Kaboul, utterly pathetic.

If the club has any sense whatsoever, every single player should be under the spotlight, for their ability and more importantly, any modicum of desire they might possess, to be at the club come the start of next season.
A game of men against lazy little boys.

I know you don't like him but I'd keep Erikson as well, Liverpool are clearly better than Spurs this season so I'm not why why we felt the need to gift them goals
