Just a shame it'll be region A locked though.

Tempted to buy as I generally just rip all of my blurays to my server anyway but it means all of the extra material will be unwatched.

Oh no! Scream Factory are working on the Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut Blu-ray release. Does that mean it will be region A locked?

Haloween BD 35th anniversary!

Wow! That's a surprise, so glad they made that decision. Sounds great except I'm only interested in 1-3

I won't derail the thread by asking questions, but £60 seems steep. I could probably get a stand alone player for not much more.

Worth a look though, for sure, with this release and the number of Region A only discs already around that I'd quite like to be able to play.

Now I just need to decide if I want to pay £95 to pre-order the Halloween set.

To be really picky, are we just getting one cut of Zombie's Halloween 2? Seems a missed opportunity...

It will be ONLY the "director's cuts" of both Rob Zombie films.
From facebook:
Quote:
Scream Factory: We were only able to secure the unrated cuts RZ's films.
I hope this new H20 disc gets a stand alone release after this as that's what I really want (it will trump the euro releases in extras so long as the transfer is the same or better).
Halloween II and III already have great stand alone releases (which are simply replicated in this set).
Then there's the original Halloween which sees yet another new incarnation in this set with a new commentary and (unless they **** it up again) the actual original audio losslessly! There's no doubt that this disc will get a stand alone release in the future (probably next year if I know AB)!

The rest I couldn't care less about as I pretty much hate everything else and wouldn't watch the films anyway. Fans of Halloween 6, does the producer's cut make the film any good?
It's a shame the Rob Zombie films don't have both cuts for completists and the 2 or 3 people who actually like his "work". For me though they are a waste of film.

I hated the first Zombie Halloween film, but I'm still willing to give the second one a fair go. I assume the UK version is theatrical so if I feel I'm really missing out...

No brainer for me this set. I've only ever seen Halloween 1-3 and wouldn't mind seeing the others. I only own the first one. If I hate them, I'm sure I can pass the set on.

If you didn't like the first Rob Zombie Halloween remake KRW, then I can tell you you're really not going to like his Halloween II remake. Personally I'm a fan (of his music and films) and I love his Halloween, but the second is awful, pretentious and nasty tosh.

Huge fan of the original, Season of the Witch and H20 but never seen any of the others, except Halloween II about 20 years ago! Really looking forward to this set.
