Brian Woolnough RIP

Sad news today that Brian Woolnough has passed away. Brian was great presenter on Hold The Back Page & the Sunday Supplement and always spoke a lot of sense regarding the craziness of all things football..

I knew that he had cancer a couple of years ago and sadly he died today, aged 63.

Bloody hell, I didn't know he was ill, I thought I saw him on TV fairly recently.

Sad news indeed.

Didn't realise he was ill. Remember seeing him on Sunday Supplement fairly recently, but that must of been end of last season then.

RIP.

He hasn't been on the Sunday Supplement this season, which was played as him being ill but expected back - clearly they must've been covering for how bad he really must have been

Yeah he still presented the Sunday Supplement for the shows during Euro 2012, when supposedly he was aware of his illness but hadn't filmed any for this season. The SS twitter feed occasionally updated to say that Brian was unwell, appreciated all the kind words and was looking forward to recovering and coming back to the show.
