I'm a bit stuck as well.

I was planning on streaming them to my PS3 from my iMac but I've never had much luck doing this in the past and got the same problems with Star Wars - stuttering!

I've tried both MediaLink and PS3 Media Server.

I'm not sure if it's a settings problem, my iMac or my O2 router.

Anyway, I'm not sure how you can burn these to disc unless you have a Blu-Ray burner... which I don't have.

Sith is awful, and if you ever needed convincing then just watch the Red Letter Media review of it!

Yeah, you can only retain the 720p if you burn to a DL DVD as a BDMV (which I've done and it looks pretty good)

If you can't burn them to BD - can you not stream them?

I just created a .iso for each one and played them through Boxee Box with no problems.

Now watching Empire...

Through PS3MS, I just copied them over to the hard drive in the PS3. I didn't try streaming them as it always stutters with HD material.

I didn't know you could do that!

Is it easy to do?

Thanks,

I just found that when on the PS3 that I can copy the files by pushing the triangle button when it's selected!

Do I just copy the 00000.m2ts file across?

Yep very easy. Just select the video you want to copy (IE put it on a flash drive and insert the drive into the PS3), then select copy and the PS3 copies it to its hard drive. You wont be able to copy any streaming formats though.

Obi-Wan vs Anakin doesn't have the same resonance as Luke vs Vader, but the latter is the very end of the Saga so I'd expect it to carry the greatest dramatic weight out of anything seen in the SW movies. And it does.

But the final duel in Sith still sends chills down my spine when the fight starts and the pumping music kicks in, and the movie has more purpose and energy than Jedi. The actors in Jedi are phoning it in and nothing much happens until we get to the final reels, mainly because the third act is so bloated it takes up more than half the movie.

It'll always be part of the classic original trilogy and yes, that finale goes over like gangbusters, but the rest of it feels like a technical exercise designed to sell toys.

Don't forget to rename the file to the correct film name (and stop any chance of overwriting it).

okay, you may dislike it, but why the need to watch a review slating it just to make your mind up?
I'm sure people can make their minds up about the prequels without watching those bizarre 'Red Letter Media' reviews - which slate the prequels for many things which strangely pop up in the original films.

Granted the prequels are not as good as the originals but those YouTube vids have more inconsistences than the films they'r slating.

And, in a rather sweet twist of irony, the newer material is vastly inferior to the original stuff that made it so popular.

It's almost as if meeting peoples' unrealistically high expectations isn't easy.

Are you talking about retail DVDs? ACVHD won't work on a standard DVD player AFAIK, DVD players can only play DVDs. That said you can get DVD players that play DIVX/XVID etc but they're non-standard

I began watching the RLM review of Sith but just gave up after part 2. Christ, doesn't he nitpick.

I liked McGregor in Clones too. He was (bizarrely) the Han Solo of the film. Granted, he was a bit rubbish in TPM.

And I thought Hayden was a lot better in Sith than in Clones.

Portman is just rubbish in all three.

He is woeful in both. Some of his delivery in Sith is embarrassing. He goes from whiny kid to Vader in the space of a movie, and doesn't have the chops to pull it off, although the script doesn't help him.

He's not good in either, but I found him more bearable in Sith, perhaps because the dialog is a bit stronger.

Although that "I'm so in love" scene.

At the end, his delivery of the 'you're turning every one against me' has me cracking up, and he even does a little John Wayne impression for one of the lines he presents before fighting with Obi Wan.

I agree.

I also agree that the showdown in Sith was spine-tinglingly resonant, if somewhat overlong.
