TBH mentioning Giggs name at that time was tantamount to shouting Bomb at an airport.

Sloppy or a clever way to direct publicity away from Giggs onto something else during the final build up?

That'll be a lot of money for a 20 year old so hopefully Fergie has learned from the Bosnich / Taibi fiasco.

Two more players please Fergie.

Hypothetically speaking what would 2 champions league final tickets in block 112 be worth?

I'm saving that for the Olympics, anyway what happened to supply and demand?

One of my colleagues just bought two tickets for Saturday, he asked what they were going for.

As with anything, they're worth what someone is willing to pay.

They were worth £150 each to me when I applied but I didn't get tickets.

Someone at work paid £3000 for a pair yesterday.

And the 'rumour' is that he bought them to sell on to someone else for £5k.

The black market is ace.

couple of manc friends in scotland are going down for the game ticketless... i think at the ground it should be fairly easy... there will be alot of barca fans that might have issues getting there, thats why i think there will be spares. as with any sporting event get there close to starting time and prices plummit.

i told them to hide their colours, practice some polite spanish phrases for tickets and they should be fine.

people in glasgow were paying the prices rustybin quoted above for then rangers went and tried to wreck the city of manchester in the uefa cup final few years ago... i had loads of friends who went down ticketless and some found away fans who had pockets full of tickets for like 40 quid... they got in the stadium and then the stewards moved them to the rangers end. i know one guy who was the only one in his group without a ticket for that game, so he went to a nearby pub... a uefa employee walked into the pub an hour before kickoff, asked the barman if anyone needed tickets and gave his spares away!

its all about not being hasty when buying tickets for sold out events. there are always spares... got a red sox ticket for nothing a few weeks ago

So the 'parade' details have been released:-

Quote:
The parade bus with the players already on board will pass Manchester Cathedral at 10 am.
Bridgewater Viaduct to Chester Road 10.45 am
Bridgewater Way 11.10 am
Wharfside Way 11.30 am
Sir Matt Busby Way including stadium 11.40 am
Warwick Road to Talbot Road (Trafford Town Hall) 12.05pm
Talbot Road to Stretford Mall 12.45 pm
The parade ends at Stretford Mall
The players will be greeted by a delegation of civic leaders in Trafford - but there will be no speeches or presentations at either end of the route.
Brilliant. So basically the players are being driven to Trafford and thats the parade IF we win then pictures of the parade are going to beamed all over the world and what are they going to see?

Albert Square?

John Rylands library?

No, Stretford ******* Arndale

Manchester Council = ******* idiots.

My colleague got 2 from the open sale (lucky sod) They were in the block behind the Royal Box. I've been badgering him to sell me them since Utd got to the final.

Anyway, he sold them yesterday for £4k for the pair. Whilst i don't condone it, that's a hefty profit. His Mrs is making him take the family to Disneyland in the US with the money.
