I imagine the exclusivity will be for a fixed period. After that he will licence to everyone and probably do expensive collectors item CDs and records.

Nine Inch Nails pt.2 - what Trent did next.

Bit weird for Trent to limit himself to one platform, especially bearing in mind how The Slip's release was handled.

How much are these re-releases?

I don't get how he's sold out given his love of tech, how he's used it in the past, not to mention how long he's used Apple gear & his involvement with Beats Music and the like. I think its interesting to see someone like him in the music industry getting more involved in all aspects of how music gets to his fans, whether it was when he left the major labels first time round or now when he's inputting to how Apple's new service works.

There was a certain amount of sarcasm in that post.

The 'other stuff' was released on Friday. Soundtrack to the new DiCaprio doc 'Before The Flood'. More a plinky plonky atmospheric 'Ghosts-esque' compilation with contributions from Atticus Ross, Mogwai and Gustavo Santaolalla but it has that signature Trent vibe throughout.

A decent Sunday morning listen.

While adding that to the music library, I noticed they released a single called Juno back in July which was to celebrate the NASA's Juno mission arriving in Jupiter's orbit.

Argh do I like The Fragile that much?

Not sure I agree all the vinyl reissues are reasonably priced. Would be nice to have a complete set of high res versions though. Would be nice if they split the vinyl / downloads as I've got a mix of both

I was pondering this too. Quite a disparity in prices for some of the albums. Why is the 3xLP Before the Flood £40 but 4xLP Ghosts £25?

As great as the Fragile is, and as curious as I am to hear what they've done, £75 is a little steep for something that will get a handful of plays.

But they would sound so, so gooood!

I know, tricky one!

Can't help but think the Fragile reinterpretation will be quite like Ghosts, or the Atticus soundtrack material.

Think I'm fairly sold on Broken though. And Pretty Hate Machine is a good price, probably because I think that'll be a triple dip for me and possibly most!
