Yeah I really liked the 2D animated series despite their short length. But the Clone Wars film was terrible. It would be been mediocre as 3 seperate episodes or however many it was glued together, as a film it just didn't work for me.

I like the prequels despite their faults. I might check this out.

For those who disliked the prequels, I definitely recommend checking out this new series.

Lucas is neither writing nor directing these episodes, and you can tell.

Some of these episodes have left me stunned at just how polished and well-written they are. Sure, the slightly cheesy '30s adventure serial tone is still there, as it was in the original trilogy. But it's a lot more refined than the prequels. Heck, they even managed to have an entire episode dedicated to Jar-Jar Binks that wasn't unbearably annoying. In fact, I actually found it thoroughly satisfying.

The Clone Wars movie was really just an extended pilot episode crammed with action scenes. It doesn't reflect the ebb and flow of the series, in my view.

So yeah. I highly recommend the series.

That's excetly what it was. If it was going to be a movie from the onset then it would have been far more polshed with better animation and tighter story.

The TV series is just more of the same as series 1 episode 1 is actually episode 4!

By the way i loved the AT-TE walking up the cliff in the movie, awesome sequance

That was pretty thrilling stuff. Makes me want to watch the Geonosis battle again from attack of the clones.

Exactly what I did on Saturday with my 4 year old son. Most of AOTC would be too dull for him, but the last 40 minutes are fantastic, and he loved it!

Really nicely done again this week. You can actually feel for the characters in this cartoon. Nice foreshadowing with Anakin as well. Gets stronger with each episode.

Thought it was a strong return with the double episode this week, especially the lightsabre-battle fest of the first episode.

Yep, very strong return. Not been a duff episode in season 2 so far IMHO.

Is the UK now ahead of the US broadcasts?

I think episode 15 'Senate Murders' was on at the weekend on Sky, yet Wikipedia lists the original air date as March 19th, that's this Friday?

Have episode 15 to watch tonight, but I hope it's better than last week's offering - the first dull episode this season, or possibly ever. My son who is Clone Wars obsessed, wandered away from the TV when it was on!
