Hmmm, a mix of good 'n bad, certainly better than pt.1.

Was happy to see Simms pass the pantomine-bad-guy-acting baton to Dalton. He was much more effective with the silly over-acting dialled back.

Of course RTD continued with the stealing scenes from other movies/shows ... we had the laser-turret scene from Star Wars, the radiation chamber scene from Wrath of Khan, and an over-extended, lets say goodbye to everyone, multitude of scenes lifted from LotR:Return of the King.

Favourite scene was Tennant's final line, I actually felt sorry for him ..... oh & I grinned at Smith's "I'm a Girl!" when running his fingers through his hair.

well i really enjoyed it despite the stupidly drawn out death. Fingers crossed for the new chap, why do thay always count legs and arms? Is there precident where he morphed into a jelly one time? And the radiation cabinet would of probably been more secure without the filthy great gap between door and panel But a good ep, better than pt2 of triffids anyway.

I've enjoyed Doctor Who with Tennant and am really quite sad to see him go and if what I've heard is true, that the new series will start from scratch as it were and nothing from the last few years will be revisited, then I thought it was a nice goodbye to all the friends and enemies.

I'm willing to give Matt Smith a shot at the title.

That female timelord - perhaps his mother?

Having seen that trailer, it looks like Matt is playing the Doctor's next season as "deer in headlights". Is "Geronimo" the new catchphrase then? Ugh.

Disappointing finale though, what with the LOTR never-ending ending, shouty exposition, complete underuse of the Time Lords and the obligatory shoehorned gay reference. Tennant and Cribbins were excellent, but that's about all I can say for it. Shame his reign ended on such an average note.

No doubt about it. She yelled something along the lines of "My boy" as they whizzed to their death.

Improvement on the Chrimbo anarchy, and some good acting from Cribbins. It'll do, and it's done. Looking forward to New Who in Spring 2010.

So, that radiation chamber. How is it supposed to contain anything when there are gaps inbetween the panels of glass and the door.

It was a rubbish episode - but the end, especially the stuff with Wilf telling the Doctor to leave him, was really well done.

Why didn't Tennant just use Handy Hand to transfer his regeneration away again like in the series 4 finale!

For a split second I did wonder if it was a massive wind up and Tennant wasn't going anywhere.

Looks like a cross between David Tennant and Peter Davidson in looks and manner if you ask me which is no bad thing.

Why am I punishing myself further by watching the uber-self-congratulatory Confidential crap?

These BBC Wales producers and directors really are deluded.

Would be ace if RTD would just admit he nicked the Cacti ship off Red Dwarf and the nuclear box from Wrath of Khan.

The time lord woman was almost certainly his mother.. and the master's as well if my memory is working?. The other person who voted we never got to see though. Their father would be the logical option. It doesn't matter now though... all the details and PLOT of these last few episodes were altogether a badly paced quagmire of toss.

Wow. I'm already jazzed for that.. looks like a load of fun. I saw an actual English village with a phone box Have they finally left Wales?

If there's one thing that new Who needs is some frickin PLOT and some interesting stories. It's a crazy request to be making I know.
