Oh Degeneration isn't a live action film, it's a CG movie by the makers of the game...

I'm expecting good things

Is it wrong if I admit I preferred Batman Begins to The Dark Knight and I felt that Harvey Dent fella did a better job than Heath?! *Ducks and hides under a chair*

They must take all the enjoyment out of watching movies; all they seem to do is freeze frame at "opportune" moments and look for flaws somewhere....anywhere!!!!

Didn't Mamma Mia make more money theatrically in this country than The Dark Knight? On that basis alone, the BD will probably be a top seller.

I too was impressed more by Eckhart than Ledger, I think I mentioned it in a previous DK thread.

Eye candy??!? Mcgowan.. is ok. But Fergie is a transsexual, just look at it's face. Plus s/he's incontinent. More like eye vomit.

Anyhoo.. Planet Terror, didn't like that. Found it dragged on and was boring. Death Proof, I agree, was just a car chase wrapped in onanistic time waste-age.

On the other hand, I often wonder why people here even bother with Blu-ray. Why not just stick to regular DVD?

Lets be honest here, when DVD's first came out most people here on this forums were just as bad, and so was i, we jumped on titles big time if the EE or artifacts were notceable

Not me, I appreciated HD and i've had largeish screens for years now (Currently 50") and have honestly never been watching a film and thought "This has horrendous Edge Enhancement

Someone over at the place-that-shall-not-be-named has compared the Blu-ray release (courtesy of DVD Beaver's review) to a capture from the trailer (not the same frame, obviously):

Blu-ray

h.264 trailer

The BD looks dreadful. I've promptly cancelled my pre-order and will rent it instead.

He's given it a 9-10/10 so I'll happily stick with it.

What's the alternative? The SD at a few quid less?

WTF have they done to it. How can the BD look worse than the trailer. I appreciate the change in colour timing, but the sharpness is lacking on the BD!

Anyway, I asked a few posts ago but is there any difference between the US BD and the UK BD?

Could be any number of reasons. AVS will no doubt tell us!

Oh, you can't tell anything by screen grabs. Tell the truth, those ones where they compare the DVD to the BD, I often can't tell which one is supposed to be better.

Interesting that the first few pages of that place are awash with "we didn't know it would change aspect ratio."

Call themselves enthusiasts?!
