Square Grin Heroes season 2 starts 24/04/08

The first episode starts next Thursday 24th on BBC 2 with the second episode showing on BBC 3 right after.

Or if you get the BBC HD channell you can watch both on there on Thursday.

Due to the writers strike I think it's only 10 or 11 episodes though. Ah well better than none.

why not?

is it really only 10 or 11 episodes?
so is it not a full series with a full story arc?
(edit - just checked wiki and its 11 episodes)

does this feel like it was cut in half then?

Don't suppose there is any chance of the BBC using the short season as a chance to start showing at US pace is there?

Have to agree having watched all of season 2 only the last few are on par witht the first season. I think the creator even went on record apologising for the poor start of S2

i was a little bit disappointed with season 2. if the big bad was supposed to have gone on for a full season then he was a bit crap.

and the 'huge fight' at the end season one between sylar and peter was a big bust, as well. those two should have been destroying buildings fighting it out, not having a silly punch up in a square.

Those who haven't seen season 2 shouldn't pay much notice to the carping, there are more new characters introduced this season which tends to slow things down (one thing Heroes doesn't need is new characters) at first but it soon picks up. The Nightmare Man is a great villain.

I thought all of season 2 was great TV and will be watching it again. It is a complete volume and sets up the start of volume 3.

I think I'll be watching it again as well. Some bits do drag on and there are some weird choices, but it's not that bad. The bits that are cool make up for the rest, just about.
It might be a good idea to save them up and watch them all in one go. That would probably improve the season a fair bit.

Godammit BBC.. How am I supposed to record 2 programs and watch BONES HD and House is on at 9pm as well. Luckily I think BBC HD repeats Heroes like several times over.

Can anyone who has the R1 set confirm it will play on an unmodified UK player? I'm sure I read someone saying it was.

For me season 2 was bad for

Still, hopefully the next story will be better!

So, does S2 just "finish" at a convenient point or did they have time to write a very quick conclusion to cap it off? Seems odd if they had the rest of the series planned out that they wouldn't simply delay the rest of until this autumn.
