is it a fake ?

Looks like a 2nd gen 1 GB ipod shuffle, smells like one and tastes like one too with all the little apple logos
But
a. has a usb cable rather than the little docking module
b. appears in device manager only as a usb mass storage device and location listed as ALi MP3 player under properties
c. Itunes doesn't see it
d. Windows media player does and it plays the tracks it downloads too
e. cost £20 on ebay from china
So I says its a fake (can't find what chipset the shuffle 2nd gen uses and apple won't tell apparently)
Not mine but a woman at work who bought 2 though as long as it plays music she's happy so won't mention that Creative Zen Stone 1 GB is only £23 on Amazon and that's the pink one too !!!

She was ripped off. I can see plenty on ebay for £15 delivered from China!

You're spot on with all five things, it's a fake.

sorry no link as i didn't buy it. Never in a situation where i need an mp3 player though having one that plugged into a poweramp and speaker connection in the car would remove all the stealable audio hardware rather than just a front panel
