[Heroes] Heads up - starts tonight (19-02) on UK SCi-FI

I know there's lots of threads on Heroes, but I was excited to see that this series starts on the UK Sci-Fi channel tonight at 10 for those that aren't into getting shows by 'other means'.

Thought it was being shown on the BBC. Or are they showing it after Sci-Fi?

BBC2 are showing it in the summer after Sci-Fi's "first run".

Since this clashes with Prison Break, I thought I should point out that it's repeated tomorrow night on SciFi (and the second episode is repeated on Wednesday night).

4x3

It's obviously been shot for widescreen too, which is a shame.

Yeah, fancy ruining it by not showing it in widescreen. Glad I watch the HD versions on the net.

That's my main reason for not watching it, I'll tivo it and then delete it, in case ntl have some secret monitoring system that gets passed on to scifi. But watching it in 4:3 (or annoying letterbox) is just a no-go.

I;ve recorded this and was worried about the possibility of 4x3 when I added it to my planner as it didn;t have the normal W symbol next to the episode details. I think i'll delete this now and wait for the BBC showing. Awful decision byt Sci-Fi

Email from Sci-Fi channel:

Hi there!

Thank you for your recent enquiry.

Unfortunately SCIFI UK has no current plans to broadcast in Widescreen in the near future. It is however something that we are looking into at the moment.

Your comments have been passed onto the relevant departments for discussion in their next meeting

In the meantime I hope that you continue to enjoy our programmes on SCI FI UK.

Kind Regards

Duty Officer

SCI FI UK

He may as well have said - 'In the meantime i hope you work really hard at trying to enjoy cropped visuals on Sci-Fi UK'

Excellent program.

Watched the first two on Sci-Fi last week but am now up to E13 - 4:3 was bad enough but the amount of adverts just drove me mad. NO I DO NOT WANT TO BUY EIDOS' BATTLE FOR MIDWAY!!

plus I recorded it on my skyHD box which still does not FF faster than 6x without suddenly jumping forward in 2 minutes chucks forcing a rewind etc

Just hope it doesn't go all 'Lost' on us, but I suspect it will
