Have I Got News For You - New Series

Quick heads-up to say that the new series of Have I Got News For You starts tonight at 21:30 on BBC ONE.

The guest host is Jeremy Clarkson and the guest panellist is Germaine Greer and someone else...

Should be a laugh.

Should be good to have this back on tv, especially with the election coming up, thanks for the heads up!

Good show. Clarkson was good, they should keep him. Merton on top form as usual. Hislop seemed a bit quiet.

it would be a great laff to bring back Angus as a "guest" presenter just so Paul and Co can take the absolute mickey out of him and he will give back as good as he gets

Enjoyed this - Greer was very subdued. Some good jokes about the three main parties, especially the final photo montage.

Nah the best joke was The Pope's opinion regarding the Catholic Church's position in allowing Camilla and Charles to marry, given they were both divorced....

Really enjoyed the show, thought Clarkson did very well, liked the Danny Baker bit about fox news.

Watched the show tonight, some hilarious bits in it as usual. Thought Michael Winner was as much of a drip as always though. Alexander Armstrong screwing up on the monkey script was possibly the funniest bit in the show for me though.

The great thing about Micheal Winner is that he let (and looked like he enjoyed it) the others take the ... Micheal (no pun intended) out of him. I remember when Piers Morgan was on, he got very defensive, abusive and resorted to personal insults when he got jokes made about him. At least Winner just grinned like a loon and clapped!

I missed the first show by accident and so last night's show was the first I've seen. I liked it but it was not as funny as some. That said if Winner had objected I think it would have been funnier but then how can any one get upset if people make fun of adverts in which you play the fool.

At least it shows Winner has a sense of Humour.

Just a quick notice (in case anyone doesn't know) this week's ep is on half an hour earlier, starting at 21:00, instead of the usual 21:30.

I went to see Dara O'Brien doing stand-up (very funny) and he said he was hosting again sometime mid May.

Nicholas Parsons has this week's show. Also the excellent news of Drop the Dead Donkey series 1 coming to DVD led me to this.

After the last couple of weeks of top draw HIGNFY, the BBC drop a clanger and foister this turkey laden episode on us.

It's almost getting to the stage where they will bring in the Grim Reaper as a guest host I reckon.

Good Episode this week.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, give Kirsty Young the host job full time. Sexy as hell, infectious laugh, can hold her own against the boys' banter and can deliver the funny lines well.

OK, I love Kirsty Young.
