Stargate SG1 - 10x01 "Flesh and Blood" **SPOLIERS**

Well, great to see it back. Guess it was not a surprise that all of the main cast managed "miraculous" escapes from certain doom. But still, great to see them all back.

So, the Or'i totally kicked butt and are now doing so on Chulak. That is going to hurt Teal'c, is his son still there? And Bra'tak will probably be none too pleased that he was sneaked off his ship, even if they were right that ramming was useless. And beaming a bomb on board failed as well.

That Or'i kid though, scary eyes. Made me shudder every time I see her. But looks like she is presenting another argument about the Ancients, which could prove interesting.

Guerilla warfare this series by the looks of it, no techology that seems to do any damage to the big ships, and more on the way too.

They really don't value the ships much any more. And those poor russians, the russian general's gone

The kid will no doubt be fully grown the next time we see her, in charge of a big army etc.

The Russian general may still be around - they said about 6 beamed off just before the ship went down, and that someone used the rings (Daniel).

Pretty decent start to the series, certainly felt more enjoyable than the latter episodes of last season. Teal'c appears to have lost a bit of weight.

Was a great action packed opener to the series and my doubts about the contiuation of the show have been shelved for the time being as it was very entertaining.

Its funny how this show has turned into a star trek type all out space battles when it used to be just about small teams going through star gates to explore strange new worlds with the whole point being that they have no space ships.

I also like how stargate has become a refuge for actors from other ended scifi shows like the doctor from voyager, 2 cast members from Frascape and what looks like could be a recurring role for Tripp off Enterprise on Atlantis.

The shot of Odyssey picking up Carter was superb.
Even though we kind of knew all the main team would be back I loved the way they showed how they got out.
The Daniel/Varla banter was superb as ever and Claudia Black is superb to watch.
Not a bad start.

I get the feeling that the Lucian Alliance will use this instability to make a land grab. Just what the SGC need, almost a civil war whilst dealing with an unstoppable foe.

Good start, really enjoyable which is what SG1 should be. Just hope they don't do a normal stargate and don't go back to this till the mid season cliffhanger and do a load of stand alones. They need to keep the momentum going.
