Great shot of the lizard. Was it behind glass?

Cheers, yes it was behind glass. I learnt to get right up to the glass in order to avoid any reflections that day!

I like your processing, too

Been in Louisiana for a couple of months and got back into photography, with my dodgy old Fuji 7900, and taken it hiking and on nature trails/reserves. Some great stuff out here. Heading back to the UK shortly but will hopefully be back with the new 500d I just splashed out on

It's been a while for me, so one back from July of a Rabbit kit, taken when out looking for Reed Warblers. Skittish little things these young ones, they run for the hills as soon as you even turn to face them half the time!

Ok, I've taken a lot of pictures of spiders and bugs over the years and this one is a bit unusual, I've heard of it happening with pet tarantulas but I have never seen it in 'the wild' before.

I'm posting it as a link as it's pretty scary (warning link contains a spider)

Another look back at Florida last year, an Egret just before twilight. Really like this one for the subtle tones:

A few shots of a heron, taken back in June. Was really pleased to get these shots, as I've seen a few herons around before while out on walks, but have either not been quick enough to get a shot, or they've been much too far away for whatever camera I had on me. There's a few more on Flickr too..

first pics here so be gentle. done three at Bioparc in Valencia last week, and the third one was at Raglan Castle. The first and third actually look unreal to me - like fake and not real animals lol.

Hope someone likes them :-)
