There was a time when a mainstream channel called ITV would show decent films, sport and comedy of a late night.
This is pure tosh that should be dumped to the sister channels.
Only prob is, the stuff taking it over sounds even worse

Anyone know what the answers to yesterdays '_________ car' question?

I fell asleep after someone guessed 'courtesy'. Was tempted to ring up with 'stolen' but was far too lazy to get out of bed to get the phone.

There was 'muscle' after courtesy but didn't see any others.

Perhaps more of these quiz shows can soak up out of work and needy Big Brother winners. Craig from the first BB show was hosting one of the non-ITV Quiz channels the other night, making a mess of the script from the cue cards or whatever they use to help out the presenters.

I saw 10 minutes of this last night for the first time. what a crock.

For the _____ car one, they kept showing a shot of a toy car being played with and saying how obvious the top answer was, yet when someone guessed at toy car it wasn't even an answer.

the correct ones before I went to bed were Courtesy, muscle, sports, bumper and another one I can't remember.

Bloody hate these kind of program.

There was the £900, £10k and £25k answers left when I last saw it and they were saying the top 2 were obscure but if you had the opportunity to search on the net then it was not impossible.

The 10K answer was animated car and the 25K answer was slot car (It's used on a scalectrix track).

I actually though of slot car...and thats fair enough. Animated car just shows what a con the show is...might as well have been imaginary car or virtual car or black car or yellow car or magenta with a hint of cyan car.

Quizmania is not a con, the ones on Sky are but not QM, obviously when they have really big jackpots the answers are going to be obscure but they give a hell of alot of clues and pretty much spell it out if no one has guessed it by the end of the night.

Amusing to watch the other night when someone called in near the start of the competition and won the £25000 prize while most of the words were still to be guessed - left Debbie a bit flustered after that

Last night with 1 answer left the fire alarm went off and Greg had to leave and they put a technical fault sign up on screen and played music for ages. Then some ITV Sport classic moments started to be shown. This must have gone on for at least 30 minutes so god knows what happened.

Did anyone phone to suggest 'job' or 'shandy' as an answer to the 'hand______' question?

Job was mentioned and it left Debbie a bit red-faced.

She 'handled' it (!) quite well - something like 'well, someone had to say it'.

Sure she must have been expecting it!

After seeing the new show, i'm tempted to do the unthinkable and say 'Bring back Quizmania!'

The Mint was dire, flicked it on and off, the first guest was.... Chantelle. Question: Chantelle's Best Blondes... top answer was Pete Burns. Jesus Christ. She's so stupid she's dangerous.

The presenters, style, pretty much everything totally ripped off Quizmania but didn't do it with any of the humour or "style" ( I guess) of the QM guys

Jon Cybernet will probably have a better idea as to the status of Quizmania returning to ITV1? I'm assuming ITV have moved them to ITV2 to not breach their contract but but just it was making a mint (pardon the pun) so knocked up their own crap copying it?

The other problem with Quizmania going on ITV2 is that the money doesn't seem all that high, so I guess they don't make as much on this channel compared to ITV1. I read somewhere on the net that The Mint will run for 182 episodes, so I don't know if that means Quizmania will go back to ITV1 once The Mint finishes. It's also a shame Quizmania had its last night on Sky last night as it will now be 100% exclusive to ITV2.
