Great series and a wonderful finale by the way.
There's some good 'talking head'-style interviews with cast and crew on the BBC website - just search for This Life on the site. I suspect they'll end up in a documentary on telly/DVD.

Mozley, yes is the answer to your spoiler text!
I am apprehensive about this special being well, "special", as it smacks a bit too much of
for my liking. I just hope the ten year gap makes it worthwhile revisiting the characters. One of the great things about how the series originally ended was it allowed viewers to decide the characters' fates. I certainly would never have had
But whatever, we'll see!

I think it is 1st Jan 2007. Please keep an eye out here/TV guide as I am not 100% sure because on the previous page in this thread it says 2nd Jan.

i'm not sure myself but christ that was bad telly. i loved the original stuff but i find that quite hard to watch now but this was a different level of rubbish, utter drivel.

some things really are best left in the past.

Must be because of filming Pirates of the Carribean?

ah yes, that explains the hair

i sort of liked. Maybe its cos i am that age (they were 22 or at least egg/warren was at the start, same as me). not as ace as it was, but nice to have a catch up. the documentary stuff was a bit trendy tv making style (ie show within a show)

i wanted to know what happened to the scott bloke

I found it very disappointing and I'm that age too. Very weak dialogue, which was always a strong point of This Life, and a serious lack of ideas. If this was the best they could come up with, they needn't have bothered.

I'm not sure whether I liked it or not. After recently watching the entire series on the re-run I was hooked but this left me underwhelmed. Was hoping we'd hear more about what happened after the wedding. Would have like to know what happened to some of the side characters like Kira and Rachel.

Am I the only one who thought that what happened after the wedding that Egg and Milly would no longer be together?

Didn't really understand why the girl was making the documentary, I mean I know it was because Egg was supposedly a famous author and his book was notionally about his friends, but really they were supposed to be nobodies, so why would anybody be interested in a documentary about them, it just didn't make sense (to me anyway), broke the illusion.

'Nuff said about Jack's hair.

How they have all aged! Maybe they deliberately "aged them up" a bit? Except for Egg, he looked exactly the same!!!

Geisha girl was a terrible actress.

Overall, terrible, and I wish they had just left the series alone really, although at least the new ep meant the old ones got a repeat a few weeks ago, should be thankful for that.

The 10 minute extra at the end was pretty funny with them saying there’d be no "This Life +20/30" etc with Milly then going "never say never".

There won’t be any because no-one in their right mind would want more of that godawful toss they just wheeled out tonight!
