Congratulations on your success! Spare a thought for those of us languishing at the bottom of the heap with an Amazon ranking of more than a million

Well now Kryten's added the affiliate link you might find that your sales surge.

I like to think my success is down to talent, but realistically any degree of success in publishing also relies on a healthy dollop of luck.

Bollecks, you've got a lot to answer for! I was up until 2am this morning, as I couldn't stop reading Maximum Security and had to read it to the end . It's the first one I've read, as I couldn't get 1 & 2 from the library as they were out. I enjoyed the book and have passed it on to my 13 year old son to read. I'll let you know what he thinks.

Cool, hope you enjoy the others.

I just filmed a TV interview for a BBC4 series called Young Bulldogs about books for young boys and one of the first questions I was asked was whether adults like the books too.

Just to confirm that the TV doc 'Return of the Hero' is scheduled for 9pm on December 28th on BBC4.

According to the producer there's quite a lot of me (Robert Muchamore) in it, which is quite a good job after they spend best part of two days filming me, moved half the furniture out of my study and installed a camera on a rail through my living room...

DOCUMENTARY: Return of The Hero
On: BBC 4
Date: Thursday 28th December 2006
Time: 21:00 to 22:00

Documentary which explores the re-invention of the adventure book in the 21st century, where books targeted at boys are bestsellers again. These are action-packed, page-turning thrillers like their predecessors, but the modernity of the heroes and the villains brings the genre up to date. Includes interviews with Anthony Horowitz, Charlie Higson, Andy McNab and Robert Muchamore, whose adventures series have captured the imagination of a new generation of young readers.
Congrats

Well done! I'll try to remember to watch it.

I hope managed to fit in something like "I'm also known as Bollecks on The DVD Forums!" in the interview.

Funny enough, I did mention how I had my own fan forum www.cherubforums.com and that my family, friends and people on this forum had been really helpful in getting the books off the ground in the early days.

I was interviewed for over 3 hours though, so don't hold your breath on getting a mention!

Great to hear you're doing so well, I remember you posting in the book forum a few years back when you were first getting published. I shall look out for the documentary
