The Amazing Race 5 (USA)

hmmm . just seen the 1st ep. Not sure what to think though. Definitely not as ruthless as Survivor so maybe I was expecting a lot.

Maybe I'll stick to it. I dont know yet.

Anyone else out there watching this?

I watched Series 1 on Sky, thought it was OK, not a patch on Survivor though.

ALso, is it true that one of the contestants in Amazing Race 5 was also in BB4 USA?

They showed series one a few months back. The only bit I though was good was the end of the last episode. One team were so convinced they were in front and it was heartbreaking when you see the other team finish well ahead but they were still racing.

I'm not a big fan of TAR. I think it's poorly edited and could have a much higher impact if done correctly. Half the time you don't know who's in what position and when you do figure it out you don't know why someone's dropped positions. That's the interesting thing for me, to see what decisions someone made that caused them to change positions.

Well again i enjoyed ep2 and you can see it at 1am. Big Brother ep4 is on after that too.

I think the show can take a few eps to get into. After all it begins with 11 teams and is literally like the wacky races
Alison was on BB USA last year and came in 2nd. Once 4 or 5 teams are gone then there is more time to focus on each teams characters.

TAR1 was axed on Sky One after ep 4 or 5, then went on hiatus while Sky aired repeat after repeat of the Simpsons. Then six weeks later they brought it back at something like 2am.

Yeah mate, I found it

I think you are right re Survivor as its there for when I come home from work on the Friday anyway so not really worth staying up to watch it on stream.
