Watching and very much enjoying it. Not very cheerful though!

Just watched last weeks BBC3 ep (at the conference thingy) and is it just me or is Maya now one of the most unlikeable characters on this show and considering the bar set by Roger in series 1, thats some achievement Excellent series btw, with this and Funaldn the BBc have come up with some quality drama this season

Maya is definately Queen Bitch on Bodies now, she is using her flirtyness to get (or rather try to) what she wants. Rob saw Bloke-from-The-Office leaving Maya's hotel room and for once Rob got the wrong idea, which was quite a nice play on the usual type of thing. Grim but compulsive viewing I think, especially with all the prosthetics they're using now, quite 'edgy' to say the least.

Bad news people!

No third series, but a 90 minute special to tie up storylines.

That is indeed bad news.

I particularly enjoyed s2. Not quite as 100% gloom and doom as S1.

This has been the best locally produced drama in many years......shame it is going to end so soon.

Woah, that was a great episode. Perhaps a little too 'soapy' in places, but some nice little breaks from convention. Rob not going with the almost too attractive Donna Rix is quite something (it isn't like there aren't other good doctors to "keep an eye on Hurley"), but still, this is drama. Good to see Keith Allen get his just deserts and leave with a little bit of dignity too. Fantastic stuff.

It is a shame it won't get another full season, but the 90 minute 'wrap-up' sounds like a good idea...

Gutted that this is to end. A fantastic program is being canned. Shame on the BBC even if the ratings are low.

I think that this show ending is actually a good thing, as much as I would love another series and more, there is only so much that you can do with a reasonably limited setting. Most of it takes place in a single ward/operating theatre, or Rob's den of love, or a car park. I think quitting while they're ahead is probably a good thing and a third series would hurt it more than anything. Having said all that, Donna Rix should get her own spin-off series.

Without Bodies on, there'll be a huge gaping fanny of a gap in my weekly TV schedule.

I really felt for poor Rob - Beth or Donna Rix or both ... not a decision to be made lightly (and without plenty of comparative testing).

Do you think they might sell off the prosthetics if they don't need them any more?

Maybe you could write to the BBC ...

"Dear Sirs

I understand you have ceased production of the television series, Bodies. I am a medical student and would be very much interested in acquiring the prosthetic lady-privates you used in the series. They would be of immense practical value to me in my studies.

Can I also have the magazine that Roger Hurley was reading when he was emitting sperm for fertility testing, our own fertility department is poorly stocked and we currently have no "Asian Babes" magazines for our visitors.

Yours sincerely ..."

after Torchwood last night there was an advert for various programmes returning to BBC Three, one of which was Bodies, does anybody know if this is the 90 minute special which was supposed to be coming this autumn or is it just repeats of the previous series?, would seem odd to advertise repeats in the prominent way they did.

really am hoping its the 90 minute special.

I'm guessing it'll be the 90 minute wrap-up, as the DVD for the complete series (1 & 2 + special) is out either November of early December, so I'm assuming they'll want to show it on TV before releasing the DVD.
