Best episode for ages. Bugatti setting the quickest lap, Diaz & Cruise were entertaining & the Senna segment at the end was class, especially as Hamilton looked genuinely thrilled.

Hehe I remember them days when racing was indeed racing and not this ***** that passes for Formula 1 these days. However it also highlighted how dangerous it was! top show indeed.

Yep best show for a long long time. senna piece was excellent and that veyron is a stunning piece of engineering. I know they've done it before but it was still a good segment.

Great stuff and Cruise's lap at the end of it was superb. I can't believe Clarkson didn't mention anything about his height although he managed to get a few hugs from Cameron Diaz the lucky devil.

Decent episode, although the cynic in me thinks Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz winding up on top of the lap times board was probably one of the conditions for them appearing on the show (along with hawking their new film and Clarkson promsing to not make any cracks about Cruiser's height). It was a fix I tells ye.

Certain subjects are off limits. That's one, as is scientology.

That's what I was thinking. Good fun today, and the Senna segment was class.

He didn't slag off his bikes (although how could even JC moan about having McQueen's Indian?) or her greenyness.

Anyone else think we were going down a bad path when they talked about that other bike being made to measure?

Did anyone else think that Clarkson was having a little dig when he mentioned Cruise doing his own stunts and JC said "jumping up and down on things"....

Really enjoyed this episode (I honestly don't think the series has been bad). It was great to see the Bugatti back again as you can never get board of that car. Truly amazing how quick it is. The Senna piece was excellent. I loved F1 when he was racing as it was exciting and mental. Its just so boring compared to when Senna was racing.

loved the senna tribute, hated the hammond race with it's tired slo-mo shots.

Now that episode just about makes up for all the other crap episodes we've had so far.

Not a fan of Tom Cruise or Senna, but that episode respect.

Hardly necessary given that there were only about 8 people on the leaderboard and it was being led by Ron Weesley!

A fantastic episode for my money (but then I always like Top Gear) and the Hammond race was highly entertaining too. The Veyron, Hollywood whoring and Senna weep-fest was merely an outrageously sexual bonus.

I read somewhere that Cruise had a go in the Veyron too. Shame they didn't show that.

Loved the Senna piece, the guy is a legend.

Great fun episode, though the Hammond snowmobile bit was as dull as ditchhwater.

Does anyone else dislike Hammond as much as me?

I hate it every time his goggly face is on screen.

I had the deepest suspicions of the Cruise-Diaz appearance - but TG long ago waived its refusal to plug new books, films etc. In fact, they were actually quite charming and 'unrehearsed.' Drove well, too. The Veyron is a star act as was that wonderful tribute to Ayrton Senna, especially after that appalling GP at Hockenheim earlier in the day. Talk about contempt for the F1 fans! Like many people here, I thought the Hammond segment was entirely dispensable. Best show this series, though, by a long way.

Thought Cruise/Diaz was the best guest in a long time, yes they were there to plug something but to be honest everyone is nowadays. They came across as decent people and set some decent times and the segment didn't seem to last that long.

How fast can the new star car go do we reckon?

I think they were the first people who looked like they set a fast time, TC lap was a bit manic but looked fast
