Battlestar Galactica 4x02 - "Six of One" **SPOILERS**

Wow!

I hope this is the standard for the rest of the season, cos things are getting pret-ty interesting. Lots of little nice characterisation going on, Adama and Roslyn giving each other some home truths, the Cylon insurrection (Brother Cavel remains a complete git), and the 'final four' putting Tori on the spot...

Baltar really is a slut, tho, loved his little scene with himself:

Glad they've cut short the whiny 'I've seen Earth' Starbuck, cos that was getting grating, already, but so bored with Lee's plot at the moment - too much focus on him leaving, and poor Dualla...

Oh, and naked Sharon!!!!

It's the start of a rumoured Cylon Civil War, so I would expect more shots of Cylons killing each other.

Oh dear. Second episode & other than the beginning of the Cylon Revolution & Boomer's topless yoga, this was dull. Did we really need about 10 minutes of precious episode time to show Lee leaving the fleet?

As Galactica continues to jump in the wrong direction from Earth, the show itself continues to move away from the giddy excitement of Seasons 1 & 2.

It would have had more impact if he hadn't left umpteen times before.

Did just about enough to keep my interest, but barely... if it weren't for the antics of the 'final four' and the beginning of the Cylon insurrection, it would've been very, very dull.

And sure enough, it certainly looks as though the beginning of the first episode wrote-off the effects budget for several episodes.

Naked yoga Coy camera angles

Slighty dull episode, with too much Lee angst, and they also spent too long with Starbucks whining about going the wrong way. Though the resolve leads too an interesting plot development.

WTF was a Chip!Baltar doing here though A side effect of Baltar interacting with a final!five? Its not as if Chip6 objects to Baltars screwing everything in a skirt.

And why did Tory sleep with him? Is her self esteem that low now that she knows she's a Cylon that she see's no reason not to debase herself and sleep with Baltar in order to obtain any info he might have on the final five?

Cylon politics about the raiders was interesting and the Cylon shoot out was a shock. Didn't see a Cylon civil war arising though if the Centurions are on one side it may well be a short war.

Cavils (1), Simons (4), & Dorals (5) v Six's, Leobans (2) & Sharons (8)[less Boomer]
future cast

Where will the Hybrids stand in this. Thats if they can take a position.

This programme has lost it's way. There were so many "emotional moments" in this episode one wonders how many more we can take - there's 10 more episodes to come FFS. And are we really supposed to care who the final cylon is - enough to hold our attention for an entire series? It can't be any more surprising that having Tigh as a toaster. Let's hope BSG can get somewhere near the highs of the Crossroads and Resurrection episodes befiore it takes it's final bow

Thought this one had it's highs and it's lows... I thought one of strengths of the first couple of seasons was the separate plotlines on Caprica and Galactica... If Starbuck off on her own to find Earth (again) is the start of a separate thread, then the show might regain some of the variety it had.

I agree with the comments about over-egging Lee leaving... unless this time it genuinely is for good and he's going to
speculation

The cylon civil war is certainly looking like a major plot shift and this could the arch that takes centre stage and saves Season 4.

Found this very boring, what a waste of a precious episode.

Apart from some good moments, this was mainly a 'moving pieces around' episode to me.
Agree that the Lee leaving scenes were far too numerous and long - either show the leaving party or parade, but not both!
Think Natalie 6 might regret letting the lead off the centurions later!

IT HASN'T JUMPED THE FRAKIN SHARK!

If Galactica turned out to be the final cylon then you might have an argument.

I agree with what Taq put, some good moments but the Apollo scenes were far too long and they didn't need to have both bits. Also Lee has become a un-likeable character (since he become starbuck's bitch)

It's going to be interesting what Galactica and her fleet will be able to do whilst the Cylons are busy bickering amongst themselves... I enjoyed this, I like that BSG takes the time to set this sort of stuff up rather than shoving it all into 5 minutes. It's still one of the best TV shows ever, even at it's worst (which is still great.)

He's a terrible actor as well (he was almost comically outshone by Sallis in the trial scenes in series 3 finale). Let's hope they drop the love triangle stuff which badly damaged the previous series, but which so ominously appears to be pre-programmed to a tv exec's hard drive of a "mind".

you can kinda see how the end is going to work now(well maybe how I guess it'll work). Metal cylons realise flesh cylons are a threat to them so launch an all out attack. Flesh Cylons flee in a ragtag fleet and join up with humans who then reach earth(which is set in 10K BC) . Metal cylons take years to find them, using Mk2 flesh cylons to infiltrate earth and so on. So the answer to the final cylon is everyone.

Not the most thrilling of starts is it?

The civil war is intriguing but the fact that the flesh cylons can't communicate with the raiders is a bit strange. If they could they would be able to confirm the final five are with the fleet.

Do we know what the big deal is with the final 5? Why are they so revered? What their history is? Are there multiple copies of them or just the one Tye etc? Do we know who built the flesh cylons? Was it that brain thingy from Razor?

So many questions that I hope they answer by the end of the show.
