Non whatsoever. As with most United fans, from what I later heard on the radio.
Even the reporters were saying 'United were under the cosh' for much of the game.
With great respect to Watford & the way they are playing, no team of United etc should be 'under the cosh'.

Football has changed, the balance has shifted, things are much closer now.

I can't ever recall clubs like West Ham and Fulham spending fantasy football levels of money in a transfer window before.

I agree we shouldn't be 'under the cosh' for large portions of a game, short periods, yes, but that was the case in the second half. I believe we bossed the first half though.

As said, time to realign expectations. The PL is designed to spread the wealth, unlike say the Spanish Leagues. A decent CL run is going to stick a few quid in the coffers, but it's going to add a fairly small percentage onto your overall funds, compared to even the most pathetic PL outfit.

All these teams are buying £10m+ players in most positions, now whilst those players aren't as good as the £100m players you buy, they're not 10 times worse, probably not even 10% worse. A decent organisation, some coaching, you can easily bridge the gap.

If you genuinely believe (along with many other United fans) that you have no right to be put "under the cosh" by a well organised PL team who are playing well, then you really need to rethink whether you'll ever get any pleasure out of watching your team play again.

At best United are in the mix with at least 5 other teams in the Premier League, it used to be one other and in reality in some years it was no other. But those days are long gone, and frankly, will never be back.

Good start tonight. Dalot looked very encouraging. You don’t want to get too excited by a young player, as they will have their ups and downs - but he showed more attacking intent tonight in a game than I’ve seen from Valencia in 3 years (which isn’t that high of a bar, as Valencia is appalling). Hopefully there is much more to come from him. Good debut.

Was there a CL highlights program on 'free' TV at all? I looked but couldn't see one...does this mean CL is totally BT only now...what a shame!

No I looked and couldn't see one.

A quick Google reveals that in previous seasons, BT were required to allow others to show highlights. From this season, there is no such requirement - and I don't think BT Showcase shows the odd live match either.

I think it's just a thing they do for a couple of years to dull the outcry a little, will show so many on regular telly, highlights, etc. It keeps MPs from demanding enquiries into monopolies or adding it to the crown jewels of sport, etc.

Then it's quietly dropped.

Well, from today's showing it's probably a blessing!

...the less I see of this hopeless shower the better, season pretty much over already!

It was over in August. I didn't watch the game today. I read opinions on forums & Red Cafe & it seems nothings changed. I can only imagine everything I have previously said about this team during this, & last season still stands.

Another good performance from us today. Well worth the draw and could have even nicked it at the end.

That's football for you, otherwise nobody would bother watching it if the whole thing was just designed for Man Utd to thump every other team 10-0.

Other teams dominate for a bit, then your turn comes back round again, or like for a lot of supporters of teams, it never does.

You either need to be a proper glory supporter and change your team in line with the dominant team of the day or just accept you're not going to win every match and just try and enjoy it.

If you won't change teams and can't just accept you can't dominate for ever, maybe be more of a passive fan. Can't really do you much good to be so full of hate and rage about a football match twice a week.

Of course you're right, we shouldn't get too upset, it's only a game after all. The main issue I have with United is their style of play...it's ugly and boring. We lost games and had poor performances in the glory decades but we were very rarely boring to watch! This team...that has cost ££millions...seems consistently clueless out on the field. We just don't have what City, Chelsea, Liverpool have, the ability to batter the opposition. With Maureen I don't see this changing...ever, that's why I'd rather he go and get someone in who's at least in favour of attacking football! After all, it is a spectator sport and at the moment the spectacle of watching United is a depressing one!

Has he ever ran a team to batter the opposition? Didn't he get sacked from Chelsea one of the times for being boring? At least he won a lot back then whilst being boring.

Presumably his contract is all about league position, etc. But he doesn't look like he's going to qualify for the CL this season, I guess he might turn it around.

When all this negativity, votes of confidence, etc. He really does look like a dead man walking.
