If it drops below £40 in the upcoming Black Friday sales, I may be swayed...

I doubt I paid more than that with the cheap credit

Yep

I am enjoying it, not sure I can explain why....

The concept it very weird, typically cutscene heavy, completely bonkers! and as usual with Kojima I really haven't got a clue wft is going on most of the time.

But it looks amazing in 4K/HDR, I'm quite enjoying taking stuff from A-B , using weird tech, building stuff along the way which other players can send you "likes" for, combat is tricky & quite frustrating but unlocks make getting around the world a lot easier, even if it means avoiding combat.

Completely agree no one other than Kojima could have done this, but I'm glad people like him are out there, seems to have been a long drought of games & this is the first I've bought for some time, maybe it's just nice to be playing something so different.

I think if any other dev made this game (without the trademark Kojima weirdness) I still think the main gameplay is very standard of gaming and it would of been ripped apart by lots of gamers and the sites. I do like the social sharing aspect of the game

Saw the Jimpression review of this. Sounds like the kind of game that would have me bashing my head into a bloody mess on the nearest wall within one hour of playing. I'm sure all the hardcore gamers who love "realism" in their games will jizz in their pants playing this garbage.

While I enjoy Jim I don’t always agree with his “reviews” eg he hated AC odyssey and I enjoyed it hugely so I’ll take his words with a pinch of salt

There isn't a reviewer out there who I agree with all the time. Disagreed with Jim Sterling many a time but still value his opinion as one of the few reviewers prepared to actually criticise triple AAA games.

My issue with this game has bugger all to do with Sterling's opinion anyway and more to do with the game elements he describes, which unless you think Jim Sterling is a flat out liar, must be true. I'm sick to ******* death with the "realistic" equipment maintenance and busywork that pervades in games today.

Loving this, been playing for a week and still on episode 2.

Game of the year, by a mile.

The digital deluxe edition (usually £64.99) is £49.99 on the PSN store this weekend. You can get a £50 voucher from cdkeys.com to bring the price down to £43.99.

That’s the cheapest a digital copy will be for quite a while I reckon, so I decided to go for it.

Thanks for the heads up. I just found it. Wish I’d used it on this! There’s other stuff I’ll probably grab later in the sale at least.

Traded in borderlands 3 as completed it and thought I would try it

I like the world they have set up despite the oddness of Kojima's odd naming of people like diehard-man etc. Although America looks like Norway with the rocks and landscape

Only on chapter 2 or the end, just got BB and I can see constant fetch quests getting very repetitive in the future. The atmosphere of walking across the landscape to the music - which is normally Low Road band is nice, never heard of them but liking their tracks
