The US extras, again we get shortchanged...

* Audio Commentary with Gareth Edwards, Scoot McNairy, and Whitney Able: Wanna know how to make a grand sci-fi adventure on a miniscule budget? Listen to to this warm, informative commentary with the director and his two leads, who guide us through the entire process.
* Deleted and Extended Scenes (1080p, 20:07): There are four scenes here, including an alternate take of the sequences where they argue with the ferryman.
* Behind the Scenes of Monsters (1080p, 1:09:15): I was loosely aware of the story of the film's production beforehand, but watching this making-of documentary really made me appreciate the work that went into the film. Basically, we follow Edwards and his cast and crew through the entirety of the production. My mind was officially blown when they showed how all of the gear used to shoot the movie fit quite easily on a single kitchen-sized table.
* Monsters: The Edit (1080p, 21:31): Editor Colin Goudie explains the process of combing through hundreds of hours of almost entirely improved footage and trying to sculpt an emotional through-line out of it.
* Visual Effects (1080p, 34:56): Edwards talks about his career in visual effects and explains the film's digital workflow.
* Interview with Gareth Edwards (1080p, 44:16): Another extensive interview with Edwards, who discusses his issues with traditional, bulky filmmaking, amongst many other topics, including his fascination with the possibility of life existing on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons.
* Interview with Scoot McNairy and Whitney Able (1080i, 28:04): The two leads, now married, discuss how they got into the project and how they developed their characters.
* New York Comic Con Discussion with Gareth Edwards (1080i, 5:02): A quick clip of the film's panel at Comic Con.
* HDNet: A Look at Monsters (1080i, 4:40): A typical HDNet promo, with a plot overview and an interview with the director.
* Also From Magnolia Home Entertainment Blu-ray (1080p, 8:43): A collection of trailers for current and upcoming Magnolia releases.

The US BD from Amazon.com comes to less than Ł2 more than the cheapest UK seller too. Even the outside limit on the slowest shipping estimate gets it here before the UK release date.
