It's a link to a topic on a forum about the (un)cut status of the film.

Total Recall uncut?
Total Recall, I'm pretty sure the sex scene with Sharon and Arnie right at the start went on longer, and had more nudity (at the cinema on the opening night in the UK)
Review for Total Recall HERE (http://www.worldwidedvdforums.com/kb...icle&k=678) with screenshots
Review for Flesh + Blood (extended international version unrated) HERE (http://www.worldwidedvdforums.com/kb...icle&k=646) with screenshots
both great movies!
No doubt the unbelievers will say he was mistaken or some other petty excuse.

So? He said he's 'pretty sure' he saw extra footage, that's not 100% proof is it?

I've got a weird sense of deja vu with this thread - was it SV that was banging on about something similar a while back, or someone else ?

Yes, but I think the problem is that you speak with such conviction about something you've read on the internet, as if it was fact. I wonder if you're for real, or just on the wind up.
Have you checked out the Snopes website ? It's very interesting - but not everything we read is real you know !

The sex scene was never cut, according to any and every source about what the MPAA asked Verhoeven to trim, so he's talking about as much misguided crap as you are.

I am not on the wind up as I have better things to do with my time than coming on here for that.

and the hundreds of thousands of people who watched the ITV2 showing of Total Recall?
I guess every single one of them never noticed at all what cut they were seeing? not one single person in the entire world recorded it at all even for a single frame of new footage with the countless ways they could record it?
and again WHY DID YOU NOT RECORD IT?
EMAIL ITV2 and ask them, I have emailed TV stations in the past over this sort of stuff and always got back info
You can even request copies of what they show. So get stuck in and ask for the Uncut version of Total Recall on DVD. The Director of the film would be over the moon if you passed it onto him, as he says it is lost.
It reminds me of the fun people all had on the Let Sleeping Corpses Lie thread
