Good stuff. I'm impressed, quite emotional .

It's an episode that breaches the normal rules but they even make a point about the Time Lords not being around to enforce those rules.

That's more like it. Nice performance by the bloke playing her Dad, although her mum was the oldest looking twenty-something I've ever seen!

Next week looked like fun (who's writing it though).

very good, anyone who thought Dalek was emotional must surely have been blubbing their eyes out to that.

Best one so far even if it was a bit of a Langoliers rip off.

FFS what is it about CGI that makes everybody whinge about it and ignore the rest of the story?

Again though the purple music spoilt it slighty. Yes I realise it's supposed to be sad I don't need what sounds like Simon Bate's Our Tune blasting out of the speakers to drive the point home.

I thought nothing would top Dalek, but this came very close. What a great plot for a film that would be as well. Fantastic. The "enemy" I thought would totally ruin it but far from it. And yet more tears in this house.

Perfect.

Tut-tut - they showed it twice!

It was sprayed on one of the posters when Rose and The Doctor were waiting for her dad to arrive in his lovely green van.

Next story is written by Steve 'Coupling' Moffat.

I'd heard that originally Simon Pegg was supposed to play the father but a scheduling conflict prevented it. Glad he didn't to be honest, a very recognisable cameo would have detracted I feel. Good episode though.
