Each cartoon lasts an epic matter of minutes doesn't it?

Not too bad....bit rushed though and animation similar to Samurai Jack? with it's sharp edges etc.

Some nice fights, although the Jedi do seem to move well at force speed and doing force jumps all the time....

Thats like saying Ep3 can't be as bad as Phtantom Menace or Attack of the Clones

Its a dire TV show. I was looking forward to it too as I love Genndy Tartakofsky's shows. Unfortunately someone thought three minute episodes was a good idea. Considering that alot of the appeal in Samurai Jack is that its filled with lots of details thanks to its slow moving nature. The first half of each episode is a long set-up and the second half is a ten minute fight. When you try to do the same in three minute format it loses everything that makes it great.

They also made a conscious effort to make it look less like Jack and its not as stylish as a result.

Missed opportunity if you ask me. What is it about Star Wars that makes some really talented people lose all their talent?

I like the way that in the original trilogy all Luke could do was basically jump a bit higher, deflect the odd laser and the mind trick.

If he ever saw Clone Wars I bet he'd be right miffed that he could have been an OMG l33t nInjA d00d!!11111 Falling hundreds of feet without damage, taking on entire armies, running like the Flash...etc Instead all the training he got was running around a swamp with a muppet on his back.

I loved the Clone Wars shorts and I'd be happy to see more.

I love the Clone Wars. Watching them day by day in three-minute segments is frustrating, as the pacing is all wrong for such short sequences. But the best way to view them is to cut them together as one hour-long cartoon, with no ads, credit sequences or 'previously' segments. It's like watching a mini Star Wars movie, with outlandish lightsaber fights, thrilling space/underwater battles and the usual dreadful dialogue. I can't get enough of it, and I'm very excited that they're making more episodes. Hopefully the longer format (five episodes of twelve minutes each, about an hour in total) will make people a little less restless when watching the show.

I've only watched it as one long hour long (?) chunk of seasons 1 & 2 together and i really enjoyed it.

I can imaging it was a frustrating experience watching it in little 3 minute bits though.

It's better than Lucas' efforts he should have gotten whoever's responsible for the cartoons to direct EP1 -3.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread with a reminder that the new 'series' of Clone Wars starts tonight in the US and will be available to Hyperspace members @ Star Wars.com

Never mind the US, it was on in the UK on Toonami at 8 o'clock this morning. And again at 4 and 6 this evening. Same again tomorrow.

I got the R1 DVD last week and watched the first lot. Not bad for a cartoon but I can imagine it was torture in 3 minute segments. This series should be more interesting as it leads directly into Episode III.
