I think we drew at Southampton last year - that says it all. We have scored far more goals this season than we have for a long time, prob even Fergie's last couple of seasons.

Grinding out a win when you are not playing well is exactly what wins you titles. It Herrera scored to make it 2-0 (and he really should have), then we may have won by 3 or 4. Conceded 2 goals so far, looking solid. This team is very reminiscent of a Fergie team (minus the wingers, which we are clearly looking to buy).

TBH I do agree with you. It's just we should be scoring more goals against teams like Southampton. If we can't then I don't know how we will fare against better opposition.

I look at the finance of the club & we have some of the best people bringing in the money, but I don't think we are in the same league as Chelsea or City at scouting or bringing in the best players. We seem to be paying over the top for players. At this moment I don't think we have a top striker. Good ones yes, but top ones no. They may, of course get better.

Well, we have Palace on Saturday...a team with a 100% record so far in losses and has shipped 13 goals without a single reply! So, should we be worried or could we possible burst through the 4 goal limit we seem to have set ourselves this season?

...with City playing Chelsea we could really get our noses out in front!!

It would be funny but won't happen.

Palace are awful at the minute. Their only plus point is that after their next game they will already have played Liverpool, United, City and Chelsea. Their problem is their confidence must be completely gone and they even done well in their other 'easier' games.

Against all expectations, we look alright. Palace had spells today, but never really got a look in. We could have scored more.

For the first time in ages, it's hard to choose an XI on merit, because everyone is putting in a shift. Good times, we need it to continue.

The problem is we are level with City bar goal difference, but they have played Liverpool & Chelsea. We have yet to play any top team.
