I think my Series 7 is ok.

The issue that some could face though is getting 4k to work if you've not got an amp that does 4k pass throu. I use the app and get 5.1 etc sent out to my amp. If I plug a 4k Roku etc into my amp it won't send out 4k.

I don't mind that. Certainly if most of Europe is getting it the same time. Also we'll know from the US how much it's really worth, the list of content they posted didn't look that great, I don't think all the MCU stuff is on there at launch.

With the UK Disney+ will the MCU stuff be there at all? Sky currently have the rights for MCU films. For example Endgame is coming to Sky Cinema on Boxing Day.

My mate wondered if it meant Sky wouldn't get any future Disney films, as their contract for them runs out in March.

Got a free year for Apple Tv+ so took a look around. I genuinely struggled to find anything at all that didn’t require paying for purchase or rent.

It’s bizarre - and I’d be looking for a prompt refund if I’d dropped £5 a month on it, or £50 for the year.

Apple TV+ is not iTunes, there’s basically only a handful of stuff on there to watch at the moment.

The rest is just the normal iTunes buy/rent stuff.

What’s worse is there’s no way of highlighting what’s included and what’s not.

Ooh the Maradona documentary - click into it and it costs a tenner. Back out.

Ooo The Souvenir - same thing but for a rental price.

There’s not even a category for just the included features or series. Odd.

Not sure what device you’re watching on? On my iPhone there’s a separate TV+ section which only shows the seven shows available.

Yep, that’s it at moment.

Not sure how quick they are adding more.

What’s more new shows only launch with three episodes and then new eps are released weekly, which isn’t great, although you can see why they’ve done it.

I believe you can watch 2 episodes for free (not sure if that’s in total, or for each series) without having to sign up for anything. Then there’s a weeks free trial.

If you wait until mid-December, you could probably watch everything in the week’s free trial.

Looks like there's a couple more shows being added to Apple in the next few weeks including one from M Night Shyamalan.

I suspect there's hardly anybody paid for Apple given its free with new devices for a year.

Must activate my trial as the alternate space race programme looks ok.
