Good post it is too, though, a lot of those films I didn't know existed, some intriguing ones like a thankyou for smoking spinoff. Didn't know there was a Jurassic Park 4, but do know there is no guarantee we are going to get the A Team. I would whittle your list down to:

Cloverfield
Indy IV
The Dark Knight
Wall-e
Bond 22
Frost/Nixon
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man
Rambo
Star Trek
10,000 BC

Although theres a lot of other films there that I didn't know existed and have intriguing titles like Fantastic PLanet (surely not a remake of the cartoon?)

And I'd add to your list Sweeney Todd, Son of Rambow, Diary of the Dead, Starship Dave, Narnia 2, Hancock, Kung Fu Panda (although some of them more than others)

Rambo
Indy 4
Bond 22
Cloverfield
Vantage Point
Whiteout (Kate Becks *sigh*)
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
National Treasure: Book of Secrets (first one is a guilty favourite)

Also hoping JJ Abrams' "Star Trek" reboot fails miserably (rewriting Trek history being the worst idea in the long history of bad ideas IMO)

bleh - Jurassic Park IV won't be out this year. Maybe Summer 2009, if they get it together at all.

Erm.. Dark Knight and Indy.... nothing else has caught my interest.

There's a Jurassic Park IV and Scary Movie 5 coming out though!? Oh God...

Is De Palma still set to direct Untouchables 2? Sounds like celluloid suicide to me.

Crank 2 is out in 2009! Scrub 2008 already, roll on 2009!

De Palma is indeed set for Untouchables 2. Looking forward to see how that turns out.

I think Dogging: A Love Story could be up for Best Picture at the 2009 Oscars!!!

Good question!

I signed up and forgot to use the forums. Just lurked for a while (OK for a long while) then went to sign up and noticed my email address was already registered so I just reactivated my account so to speak and voila!

Even though I wrote a little about this recently, I didn't mention even half of the films in the OP here - some of which I hadn't even heard of, or was aware were being made! I'm personally looking forward to:

The Dark Knight
WALL·E
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Bond 22
Juno
Be Kind Rewind
Zach and Miri Make a Porno (Kevin Smith's new movie)
War, Inc. (if it gets picked up for release - please!)
Vantage Point
Gone Baby Gone (on the condition of a UK release this year)

Oh, and that Untitled Thank You For Smoking project you speak of is to be a TV show - not a movie.

Indy
10 000 BC (The trailer for this looks awesome)
Zack and Miri make a Porno (Probably my most anticipated due to it being a Kevin Smith movie)

I am sure there will be more films that catch my eye at some point.

Top of my list definite must sees for 2008 (in UK):

Bond 22
The Dark Knight
Indy IV
Wall-E
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Star Trek XI
No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Juno

Films that I'm kinda intrigued about:

Iron Man
Rambo
Cloverfield
10,000 BC
Wanted
Speed Racer
The Incredible Hulk
Kung Fu Panda
Hellboy 2
Get Smart
How To Lose Friends and Alienate People
Wilderness
Tropic Thunder
Ghost Town
Revolutionary Road

Films I will avoid like the plague:

Sex and the City
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Empire
Madagascar: The Crate Escape

As for Jurassic Park IV - if this ever gets made, I really, REALLY do hope they go with the script by William Monahan and John Sayles as it sounds like a seriously fun and un-hinged premise for such a high-profile sequel!

The Dark Knight
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Hellboy II: The Golden Army

That is all.

Jurassic Park 4 will be a no show in 2008 to be honest. They were rewriting last anyone said, and since no one is writing anything in the states [apart from Jay Leno] at the moment.... no chance.

Eh, do you own a cinema or something?

For me, I'm looking forward to:

Jesse James [shortened title for legal reasons]
New James Bond (if there's one arriving?)
Margot at the Wedding

And for all the Rambo fans:

Not sure what happened but something definitely did.
