Rocky 6 (aka Rocky Balboa) - Read a few pages of the script he released recently, hated it.

Rambo IV - He said earlier this year the film was already in pre-production, its nowhere to be seen. Is Stallone going senile?

Terminator 4 - Its going to be **** either way, no Cameron either. And Arnold is just too old, he was too old for T3, but this would just be a joke. Besides i'm 97% sure he won't be in it.

Die hard 4.0 - Yes please. I'm one of the few who liked all 3 of the 1st films.

I love DH 1-3. 1 is action film perfection, 2 is gratuitously violent fun and 3 has Samuel L. Jackson.

There has been no replacements for Sly,Arnie and Bruce becuase the days when you got your big beefy action hero have gone. Now you get an actor get him trained up /buffed up... job done.
Take Matt Damon in the Bourne movies for instance he does'nt look like much of an action hero but with some training he is very good in the movie and has the acting chops to pull off the drama scenes.

Willis has in his later years been able to get more serious work and establish himself as more than an action hero actor, though that in its self was reinvention for him coming off the back of his success in Moonlighting.

Sly unfortuantly did'nt have the same success though he he was very good in ''Copland'' stinkers like ''Driven'' and ''D-tox'' didnt has'nt helped his cause.I would like to see another Rambo and Rocky though I'm not sure where he is going to go with the later after Rocky 5.

Arnie is the weakest actor of the 3 but is great at the cheesy one liners I would be very suprised to see him in T4 though I would like to see that movie if it shows the future war in further detail.

The Rock has a shot at being a big action star but he is also going towards the comedy route with the movies he has lined up.''Johnny Bravo'' and a cop/buddy movie with Ryan Reynolds..''Southland Tales'' by Richard Kelly could be intresting though.

Personally I think they are all too old/out of shape and I am sure if they are made they will all be rubbish. But I will go see them just in case except for Rocky VI. I am not a fan of the Rocky films except for part IV.

Didn't he just recently say he had been in talks with Cameron about doing TL2 and T4?

From IMDB:

Hollywood action man Arnold Schwarzenegger may be set to juggle his role as California Governor with a return to the big screen - he has reportedly agreed to star in two big money sequels. The actor-turned-politician has agreed to re-team with Oscar-winning director James Cameron in a fourth Terminator installment in addition to a sequel to True Lies, according to website Moviehole.net. Eliza Dushku, who is excited about reprising her role as Schwarzenegger's daughter in True Lies 2, says, "We all caught up. Me, Jamie Lee Curtis, Arnold, and Jim (James Cameron), to talk about True Lies 2, about a month ago in California. We're doing it. Definitely doing it. I'm revved." And John Rosengrant, who is a special effects expert at Stan Winston Studios, confirms work on Terminator 4 is at a very early stage: "It's too early to figure out what a new Terminator would look like, or anything like that. You see the script and what spark comes from that, (talk) with the director and see what the vision is. It does no good to dream it up unless you write a treatment and try to get out there and sell it yourself."

There is a God after all! Anyone else think that T3 was the worst franchise sequel since Jason Goes To Hell?

I have got nothing against seeing the old action heroes like Stallone, Willis, Schwarzenegger etc as long as they're are believable in the role. The only problem is that the action movie has moved on since the Eighties and early Nineties when these guys were Kings of action cinema. It would be nice to see a no holds barred, balls to the wall, full blooded adult action movies like days gone by instead of the majority of toned down suitable for kids 12A/PG-13 "blockbusters" we see today.

Personally I would really like to see Terminator 4 because there is still a story to tell. I however I would not want to see Schwarzenegger in any other role other than a cameo appearance. Basically we would see him right at the end of the movie with his various Terminator incarnations going back in time to complete the circle.

While T3 doesn't compare to the first two movies favourably it isn't a bad movie in itself. I would have preferred it to be a bit darker and a bit more violent but it is entertaining enough and opens the door very nicely for Terminator 4 to be set post apocalyptically and finish the story. Perhaps without T3 being made there wouldn't be an opportunity for T4?

Rambo 4's a go go

Quote:
Stallone back in combat for fourth 'Rambo'

The franchise that drew "First Blood" is back with a fourth installment. Millennium Films in conjunction with Emmett/Furla Films and Equity Pictures are partnering on a $50 million "Rambo IV." Sylvester Stallone is attached to star. The story centers on former Vietnam vet John Rambo, who is living a reclusive life back home in the U.S. But when a girl goes missing, he is forced to abandon his quiet lifestyle and take justice into his own hands. No director is attached, and the screenplay is in the early stages.

Make the missing girl his daughter and it could be a remake of the great Commando.

Die Hard 3 and Predator 2 are far superior to the others you've mentioned.

And I watched Rambo III again the other week (with a few drinks) and was quite surprised how much I enjoyed it. Utterly brainless but muchos action, and of course Sly playing that drag the dead goat (or was it sheep?) on horseback sport.
