I'd love to see a new Rambo and I personally love Rambo 3

So gloriously over the top and it knew not to take itself seriously. The line Rambo says when both he and Troutman are confronted by a lots of russian soldiers, tanks etc is priceless

As long as Stallone realises he aint Rambo 2 - and is more First Blood - these days it could turn out ok.

I quite enjoyed Rocky 5 and that went in a different direction!

I've got mixed feelings about this one.

Might be ok but chances are it will probably be rubbish.

if they keep this small scale and more in the vein of first blood it might not be as terrible as everyone expects,

having watched Stallone on the TV show The Contender he is in good shape and could pull a decent performance out of the bag

You've got to love the end bit in the credits of this (Rambo III that is), given the current political climate

"Dedicated to the brave people of Afghanistan"

if only they knew....

Loco The Rambo Movies are not all bad, a new one might Rock!

I liked all the Rambo Movies, 2 and 3 were a piece of nonsense but they were fun. First Blood was a brilliant piece of American Post Vietnam recovery and indeed it should realy stand apart from the sequals.

A new Rambo Movie if made properly could be as poweful as First Blood or as silly as Rambo 3, either way I bet it will be enjoyable, even if it is the case of switching off your brain for a hour or two.

I met him as well. Years ago playing golf in Dromoland Castle. Near Limerick. I was in awe as FX used to be one of my favourite films.

Back to Rambo - why do they seem to leave these sequals 15 years too late?

I don't like the sound of this at all. Stallone's too old now to make it as an action star doing stuff like Rambo. He should let it go and try for the kind of serious tough guy roles he played so well in Cop Land and that you see Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis and Mickey Rourke doing. Hopefully Tarantino will put him in Inglorious ******** and maybe Robert Rodriguez, for whom he appeared in Spy Kids 3, will stick him in the next Sin City.

First Blood although it contained plenty of action even if it was in a more horrific fashion that Rambo 2 or 3, it was still a more character centered piece.

It was a good film that should have been accepted more than it was, especially after it's sequals. First Blood was a good attempt of a movie attempting to heal the open wound that was Veitnam to America.

And why not bring out another Rambo movie, Chinatown had a sequal 15 years later and if it is a more character focused piece like First Blood than it may be better than many expect.

So long as Stallone plays a Rambo who is the same age as he is I dont see why his age should be an issue...and to say Sly looks good for someone knocking on 60 is an understatement! Would much prefer this than a ROcky 6...now Sly in the ring would look silly...

Plot sounds too similar to Commando. But I loved Commando, so bring it on!
