Also, if I'm buying a 4k version of each why would I want to shell out for the normal Bluray version as well?

If they included a digital version we wouldn’t need the standard Blu-ray...

Watched this again last night and it made even less sense the second time around. What a collosal ****-up this franchise has become.

Yes someone mentioned this was out for download already. Interestingly this had a 4k DI so the 4k/UHD will look great. Shame about the film itself.

Well you only have yourself to blame, you should have read all the books, comics and web articles that fill in the numerous plot holes before hand. Moviegoer Privilage is what you have ;expecting a film director, writers and producers to produce over 2 hours of cinema that has a cohesive plot, well rounded characters wrapped in an interesting story that makes sense. you want the world on a stick

I've said it before but sadly I doubt these films will get much watching in the future, such a wasted opportunity. I hate to say it but I can feel myself more likely watching the prequels!

That's just silly talk! The prequels are a jumbled, incoherent mess. There is at least an attempt at competent filmmaking in the last three, even if they don't sit easily as a trilogy.

They just don't serve any purpose in my opinion. They don't continue the story, the characters are thoroughly unlikable/forgettable and they just got desperate by bringing the Emperor back.

While none of the films (other then Rogue One IMO) after ROTJ sit well with the story arc, I also feel that the last 3 at least made an attempt to do so. I say this despite the fact that the script and direction of TLJ was weakest of ALL 9 films. With the prequels, individually none of the three rises above mediocre at best but considered from the point of view of the SW story arc, they are a jumbled mess.

The main issue with the prequels was that clearly no-one challenged Lucas on anything, they all just did as told. With the sequels we don't know how much was dictated by Kathleen Kennedy versus it being a combined team effort.

Tried watching this again but couldn't get through it in one go. Way to much useless stuff, why was the guy from the Hobbit there? Where did the crew for all these Star Destroyers come From? Who made the knife, why? why not take the gubbins tracking thing. Why were the Destroyers not in orbit the planet was itself consealed and they'd be less vunerable. How did Pride get to them without a gubbins? The medalian thing - never heard of before why would the empire have a universal pass system when their entire ethos is based on control?

Utter tosh

Clone Wars is doing a much better job

But don't fret a new Series is on the way with a Strong Female lead from one of the writing team behind Russian Doll

I've tried watching it again as well and it's just utter utter crap. Doesn't feel like Star Wars at all, no matter how hard they tried.

I doubt I'll ever watch these sequels again.
