Hatchet Bluray Recommendations

I've been looking to buy the hatchet films on Bluray, I can't find a boxset aside from the German release. Was on the verge of buying that then found that the German boxset is apparently cut to hell and back?

Can anyone confirm and make a suggestion?

Blu-ray A America- Anchor Bay Entertainment - No cuts - "Unrated Director's Cut" (83:59).

Blu-ray ALL Uncut Austria- Sunfilm - No cuts - "Unrated Director's Cut" (80:21).

Blu-ray ALL Uncut Germany- Sunfilm - No cuts - "Unrated Director's Cut" (80:21).

Looks like the Austrian and German editions are 1080i/50 -- basically PAL speed-up differences in the HD age. It still happens.

Not following you? Surely that wouldn't account for 4 mins difference?

Yes it does as PAL is 25 frames per second or on BD 50 frames per second interlaced, whilst the US is 24 frames per second progressive a 4% difference. Therefore on a 100 minute run tine it's 4 minutes.

Obvious the German and Austrian release is based on an interlaced TV master or is this a European film so could have been filmed at 25 fps, as assumes TV distribution so it has to be slowed down to 24fps for US as most US TVs and BD players can't handle 50fps interlaced.
