Seemed to be about 4 spin-offs on the cards there. Making sure to seperate people totally.

I can see why all the actors want to move onto different things, but I doubt any of them will have much of a career after this. I guess I'll spend the rest of my life thinking "where have i see him before?", ah yes he was Greyworm about 20 years ago, now he is a baddie in Dr Who.

I'm sure HBO will be happy to have some spin-off series here, and it looks like they're setting them up.

Fairly predictable ending but still enjoyable. Just a shame the pacing of this season was so off, a season last year as well as this would have helped some of the decisions seem more palatable and understandable.

A lot to digest, but I thought that was a pretty satisfying and emotional finale to one of the greatest TV shows of all time.

I stayed off Twitter until I could watch but YouTube still managed to serve me a spoiler as a Recommended Video. Still, a 7/10 with a few clunky bits in among the solid hits.

The really jarring bit was the council of leaders, and the lead up to ‘the decision’. Felt like they’d written and filmed that in about 15 minutes, the whole thing warranted a lot more screen time and sensitive treatment.

Otherwise all was pretty good I thought.

Yeh not quite sure how that meeting even came about? Who organised it? Why was Jon Snows allies not taken into custody.

Seems they missed some bits out as it'd take too long to explain.

After a second viewing I think the finale was perfectly fitting for Game of Thrones.

Just finished, and this is my first stop ...

Surprised at all the positivity here ... I thought it was awful ! A clunky, tagged on PG-13 Disney ending to what has overall been a fantastic show.

I suppose it would work better when seen straight after ep5, but still way too much Imp (as much as I like him) and too little Stark.

And as said, the cut to the meeting was incredibly jarring. I wonder if there will be new longer edits on dvd/blu ?

Disappointed.

I didn't think it was that great, but wasn't terrible either. Some of the decisions didn't make much sense.

I didn't like it but I think it was going to be difficult to write *any* ending which would've been good (or better). Maybe that's the best one anyone could've come up with.

I do think it was rushed. The longer run time gave us an extra episode per season (7 & 8) but I think 2 x 10 episode seasons would've been better and, as said, her 'descent' to madness would've been fleshed out a bit.

Disappointed in some of S8 (eps 3 & 5 were amazing) but have loved the whole run overall.

I loved the first half - not so sure about the subsequent developments...

They could've done with a "Two months later" caption. Unclear that the more fringe members of the meeting would even know who Bran was, never mind actually accept him as a leader.

I don't think any ending would please many, there was a poll about who you wanted to see on the iron throne, not even convinced he was a choice. So I guess many would be disappointed, I hadn't even considered him.

But overall it was a decent end, but getting it right would have been an impossible task.

I really think better writers could of come up with a better ending, D&D didn't give a ****. There was so much just to fit into 74 minutes and it didn't make that much sense or things just happened, see the bear spoilers

If this season was 10 episodes then so much would of been explained and the characters arc would not of been so sudden.

Also there was some rouge plastic water bottles that the production staff forgot to remove at least it was not as obvious as the starbucks coffee cup this time. Have to say the r/freefolk are killing it on reddit I laughed at the

I think the ending was the ending, what GRRM came up with when he told them. They've been working towards that ending since the beginning.

As an episode it itself I quite liked it and I was content with where the characters ended up other than Bran which did not make sense to me really. There was nothing in his character arc that would make him stand out as the choice to be king. However with more build in a longer season it could have been so much more satisfying. Its not just the Daenaris' turn, even things like the romance she had with Jon Snow were rushed which meant his ultimate decision wasn't as tragic as it could have been. It feels like George RR Martin told the show runners how the books would end but not how to get there and then the Star Wars offer came and they wanted to get it over with. I have to say though the acting was great with Dinklage and Harrington really standing out for me.
