Just a heads up reminder about this tonight. Looking forward to seeing what's on the agenda. I just hope being a husband and an expectant father hasn't softened him too much...

oh, crap, he's not going to be a dad, is he? now, he'll start caring about the world and thinking there is some good, somewhere out there. you know, i'm beginning to think that huq is an undercover agent for "the man" who has been tasked with silencing one of our most fearsome satirists, because he actually dares to pay attention the man behind the curtain. next up, david mitchell. is he still seeing victoria coren?

Enjoyed it and certainly as dark as Charlie has ever been so no worries on the marriage/baby front just yet!

He looked so dishevelled in the forest scenes I'd have run away if I'd seen him coming I think A mad haired tramp/zombie came to mind

He was rocking the mad tramp look on BBC breakfast yesterday. Scary stuff when your eating your toast.

Couple of lines that made me laugh. Liked the Quilf comment and the twitter sketch. Could have done without the Murdoch documentary in the middle, that was a real turn off for me.

I suspect Charlie is deliberately making his hair look madder than ever, as a big "**** you" to all the people who 'complained' about his hair back when he first did YHBW. Can't say I blame him, I'd do the same.

Er no, he's trying to have "cool" hair but failing miserably. He's been "styled" ever since Huq came on the scene. And by "styled" I mean Konnie probably thinks she's got mad hair care skillz (you know, like the ones she uses when "presenting").

Brilliant hour of tv, probably more entertaining than anything else I've watched on tv this Christmas.

Loved the photo lineup of 'badly dyed despots': Gaddafi, Berlusconi, Andrew Neil....

Loved it, but then for me Adam Curtis's section was about the best bit in the show, along with Doug Stanhope, and it was kind of worrying that the 'support acts' were better than Charlie himself.

They should just take turns reading top tweets of topical subjects over the last 48 hours. Trying to be too spontaneous with breaking news and the poor audience applauded Carr at the end of that bear skit, because the sign told them to.

Crap in general so far. And now they're interviewing two utter ***** about football.

At least Lauren still looks stunning.

The Russian part was utterly awful. It was like an SNL sketch except it's been written by Adam Sandler.
David Mitchell looks like a rabbit in the headlights every time he has to read from the teleprompter... and who on earth thought it was a good idea to let him lead the football interview?! Brooker would have done a much better job taking the part of the guy "on the fence". In fact he's the only one who seems to handle the live aspect at all - it would be much better off as just him and in the style of The Daily Show.
