hence the "deal of the day" title

todays is Son of Heaven by David Wingrove

The first of two prequels to David Wingrove's Chung Kuo series, Son of Heaven takes readers to the year 2085--two decades after the great economic collapse that destroyed Western civilization. With its power broken and its cities ruined, life in the West continues in scattered communities while a resurgent China is seeking to abolish the past and bring about world peace through rigidly enforced order.

Least it's someone I've heard of today!

Kindle Daily Deal - Stella Rimington - Rip Tide

Stella Rimington's tense and heart-stopping spy thriller sees MI Intelligence Officer Liz Carlyle brought in to establish how and why a young British Muslim could go missing from his well-to-do family and end up onboard a pirate skiff in the Indian Ocean. The secrets are deep, the stakes are high and the enemy is always just out of sight.

It's an excellent book. I have the paperback and the audio (read by Gaiman) but for 99p it's almost worth getting another copy.

The Black Prism is £1.99. I loved his Night Angel trilogy so I've got this.
Also Game of Thrones is £1.99 if for some reason you haven't read it yet or want a Kindle version.
They also have the first four Song of Ice and Fire on Kindle for £20. Not a bargain, but cheaper than buying them separately.

probably not everyone's cup of tea but the 1st 4 Agatha Raisen books are available together for £1.19

Amazon.co.uk

Agatha is pretty much a modern miss marple, a retired ex PR lady, moved to a small village, and murders occur. 1st one was quite good (and 99p when i got it)
