I liked "Gate Lady", April's sister being exactly like April, April knowing about Duke Silver, April's nonsense dates/times for the new meeting for the bloke at the end, and the rich bloke that looked like a corpse every time they showed him

Holy Crap! ... Just when you think this show couldn't get any better, the GORGEOUS Natalie Morales (who played Wendy in The Middleman) joins the show & appears for the first time this week, along with the less attractive Rob Lowe.

Heh brilliant ep. Rob Lowe was funny especially with his giant vitamin pill. Loved Tom with all the hotties in the bar ("did I give you a bottle top") and then his melancholy conversation about pomegranate drinks with the hot bar girl

Awesome episode. Who knew Rob Lowe could be that funny? ... Was sad for poor April though, especially when she looked even hotter than usual in that dress.

Who was she? I just know I've seen her in something before.

And as I type I remember! She was the girl from The Middleman.

*Cough* Check three replies up

She wasn't looking quite as delicious as she did in the other show (probably the lack of geeky glasses) but GO TOM!

Oops.

She reminds me a little of Rosario Dawson.

What a great episode,

"What's a non gay way of asking him to go Camping with me?"

Ron's face when he found out the entire Government was shut down was awesome too =)

Ron was the runaway star of the finale, soooo many great lines, facial expressions, a fantastic prat-fall & more horrific, artery-blocking food!

Also loving Rob "I'm going to run to the Moon!" Lowe's character. The Good-Cop/Bad-Cop routine he has with the other new guy pushes that dynamic to the extreme.

Totally sucks that this won't be returning until January next year.

Yeah Ron was great (as usual) but Andy was on fire this ep.. "Sex Hair" ftw!!

Also Tom's "I've taken 4 diazepam to dull my sensitivity.." was ROFL worthy..!

Just a brilliant brilliant show!

Agreed, S1 was okay and I was on the verge of not bothering with S2 but thanks to the comments on here I stuck with it an am glad did. Ron is fantastic, some of his facial expressions and his mighty tache are comedy gold and Andy has gone from the boring, stupid dullard of S1 to a 'joey-like' div of comedic brilliance. The episode where he was kissed was hilarious.

Having to wait till January sucks the righteous one but at least it's coming back.

I've never seen an episode, but am a massive fan of The Office, this is never going to get shown over here, so I decided to take a punt and order the DVDs.

Well I only went for season 2, as it was $28 for 24 episodes, whereas season 1 is not much less for only 6 episodes!

So my question is: will I be able to jump straight in with season 2, or do I need to see season 1 first?

I've never seen any of S1, just started with S2, clearly I can't say WHAT I have missed, but I've never found anything in S2 to be a mystery/unfunny/inaccessible.

Brilliant series and the latter half was just superb week after week. I certainly came to look forward to it more than The Office each week.

Season 1's much weaker than season 2 so it's the best place to start. You'll soon pick up the character threads.

Well I decided to give this ago after realising The Office has jumped the shark, and I've rinsed through every episode in a couple of weeks! The first season was a little too honest and, well...sensible in a way, but the second really ups the ante and takes on more of an Arrested Development take at humour (wit/one liners) as opposed to the quirky awkwardness of The Office.
Andy went from being a pretty uninteresting character, to being my favourite part in the show. He really took on leaps and bounds once he started to live in 'the pit', reminds me of Ricky from Trailer Park Boys with his mispronunciation of words, etc. He's also got some awesome chemistry going on with April, who I've gotten a bit of a crush on.
Ron is also amazing in pretty much every scene - what sticks to mind though is the shotgun to the back and the resulting hilarity, when he had the hernia (I think that's what it was?) and couldn't move ("I'm Ron ******* Swanson!")...oh and the 'sleep fighting' disorder he has! Brilliant

I hope it isn't cancelled, I'm not sure why but every single episode has really low <6.8 ratings on Tv.com so it can't be too popular in the states? Wiki said it's been held back as a mid-season replacement...what does that mean exactly? It won't restart til this time next year I take it?

Think it means it's coming back in January instead of Sept/Oct

Nothing to worry about. The delay to S3 is because the leading lady, Amy Poehler got pregnant & they are currently filming S3 now while she isn't showing too much.
