Hard to tell from just pictures, but looking at those images it looks more like a remake of Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior.

What Has Happened To Mad Max: Fury Road

Wow! It's been a long time coming but well worth the wait for our first taste.

Oooh, actual stunts and not CGI.

Either that or it's amazing CGI.

Include me interested... but I hope that lady with the novelty car-window sticker lips from the Transformers fillum isn't trusted to deliver much dialogue.

One article says this is a prequel, how does that work?

Looks pretty damn great. Hopefully the story & script lives up the visuals.

I did wonder how he got his car back after it blew up in part 2 though. Especially as it was supposedly 'the last of the V8 Interceptors'...

"Not a prequel or a sequel" apparently.

So...reboot then?

I heard that this film is meant to take place after Mad Max 2 and before Mad Max 3. So not really a remake, prequel, or reboot.

A sequel to Mad Max 2 and a prequel to Mad Max 3... with a bit of a reboot/remake?

Mad Max 2.1?

Psycho

Doesn't that make it both a sequel and a prequel?

Looks awesome - though also looks like a reboot/reimagining of The Road Warrior?

Not a fan of Tom Hardy as he comes across as a bit of a dickhead in interviews, but that does look good.

Can't say I'm enthused.
Looks like a CGI remake of Mad Max 2 in orange-and-teal.
